Terrible news. I was wondering about all the tarded out replies to a Bill Simmons NFL podcast tweet.

Damn that is sad :( RIP Rob Reiner. He made some of the most memorable movies ever. Stand by Me, Spinal Tap and Princess Bride will especially stand the teat of time as they are brilliant.

Actor Anthony Geary, 78....most famous for being one half of "Luke & Laura" on General Hospital. Weird to think now, but in the early 80s, GH was HUGE and students at my college would schedule classes around its 3pm air time and we'd all gather in a common area and watch.

Eerie coincidence. I'm heartbroken over the way Reiner was murdered. Screenshot from Stand by Me

Swapping this around a bit, but worth it imo, to celebrate 100 years of Dick Van Dyke. This is how much Brits like Dick Van Dyke, despite Bert's 'cockney' accent...

Most British thing ever.

And I also thought Gehry had passed pre Covid. I’m surprised that wasn’t bigger news, don’t know how I missed it.

Actor Gil Gerard, most famous for playing Buck Rogers in a cheesey 80s TV series. He was 82.

by Dominic

wait, Frank Gehry was still alive until this week??

Yeah, surprised me too. Would’ve thought it would’ve been a bigger story.

Similar to DVD, Keith Richards turned 82 today.

TCM posted a nice tribute video. We lost a lot of good people this year. =(

Seems Peter Greene's death may have been a potential suicide, he was found with facial injuries and a strange handwritten note alluding to the Irish American crime gang known as the Westies

have wondered quite a bit before when news similar to Ransone was released

how much of our characterization of extemporaneous imperfect factors in actors might simply be directly equated to the same middling stinging situation causing eternal pause to their next gen king arthur fitbits with the kids sleeping in their nappies

The musician Chris Rea died, who I remember mainly for the cool classy 1978 hit Fool if You Think it's Over.

by parisron

I'm probably the only person on Earth who hasn't yet watched The Wire but I quite liked him in the Sinister movies, sad to hear he took his own life.

French model, actress, and singer Brigitte Bardot, dead at 91.

Well, my telephone rang it would not stop
It's President Kennedy callin' me up
He said, My friend, Bob, what do we need to make the country grow?
I said my friend, John, Brigitte Bardot
Anita Ekberg
Sophia Loren
Country'll grow

I had to look this up. I was guessing some Beat poet.

Anyway, see Godard's Contempt for Bardot with Michel Piccoli, Fritz Lang! and Jack Palance!!
