You guys are overreacting on the Broncos. They're still very good.

If anything Texans are probably too high. That Raiders game was a perfect encapsulation of them. Their defense can win any game, but their offense can lose any game too.

Rams still the best.

Nah, i'm good with it 😀 What do I care what some guy on the internet thinks? He has proven to be pretty inacurate all season long. Bears are in the playoffs fo the first time in forever and they have a very legitimate chance. That's all I care about.

I mean, you've cared pretty hard for about half the season now. There's also nothing to do with "accuracy" here. I'm literally ranking teams in order how good I think they are. It's all just fun. Nobody including Vegas actually thinks the Bears run the table so embrace the underdog mindset.

I'd take all ten teams I ranked ahead of the Bears over them on a neutral field, but it's all probably 1-3 point spreads with SF, LAC, JAX, PHI and HOU. Maybe Denver and New England in there too.

Bears have also played one (!!!) game against those ten teams all year, beating the Eagles as 7-point dogs. They just have not been tested by the best competition as frequently as the other teams have.

That's pretty obvious 😀 Still don't get Lions over Packers?????????? Lions are 99% dunzo and the Pack should make the playoffs. I think the NFC west teams should all be favored over Bears but I still like Bears chances against any of them. They ran the ball down the defending SB champs in Philly.

The Bears have improved every week and not many teams can claim that. They are playing at a level no one could have expected. The only NFL stat that counts is WINS.

Ok, there's no point anymore.

lol at Ballard and the Dolts FO for thinking this was their best path forward

I know you don't watch games, but I'm not sure how anyone could watch that game last night and come away thinking Rivers was the issue. The mountain of injuries and total failure by Chris Ballard to put together a defense in his 9 years as a GM? Sure, but Rivers played fine.

Speaking of Ballard, in 1988 Ladd Herzeg finished his 8 year tenure as the GM of the Houston Oilers with a losing record and never having won two or more playoff games. He is the longest (non-owner) GM to have done that...until Chris Ballard broke it last year, and will extend that record to 10 full years.

His continued employment remains a slap in the face to every person that's ever worked a day in their life, and because of the insane number of injuries the Colts had in the 2nd half of this year, he's probably going to get a pass yet again. **** me to goddamn tears

I mean, old man rivers definitely wasnt anything close to why they lost, but pulling him out of retirement at 44 as your fallback plan is by any objective measure firable stupidity for the organization that drafted AR15 if the top 5

You have 4 games and there's no replacement level QB that can run the offense out there since their backup hurt himself in a pre-game freak accident and their 2nd backup hurt his PCL. It's not like the Colts just ran out 1 QB and said "**** it". The amount of wild **** that had to go wrong this season or the Colts to implode and end up with Rivers is truly mind-bottling. No one watches the Colts and they suck so braindead takes like "Jones reverted back to a pumpkin" or "Sauce was a bad trade" are just going to have to be a thing for a while, but it's so much worse (and admittedly hilarious) than that.

Drafting AR5 should absolutely be firable in-and-of itself, but if Ballard got fired every time he did something worthy of being fired, he'd currently be getting fired from a Dairy Queen somewhere for miscounting the drawer instead of probably failing upwards into his next GM job making $5M/yr

Oh it is deeply disheartening I can’t just unleash on that ****er on sight. But so it goes

Mono or mclovin? 😃

I heard a fun suggestion on a pod.

Joe Flacco, Jameis Winston type QBs - guys with experience and the hous to drop into a new situation and be ok….should be out there on the street and ready/available to sign weekly contracts as competent back ups when a contender gets an injury.

Like seriously, they are both on $4m per season which is 250k ish per week. Imagine how much they could charge per game to the Colts or another contender when their started goes down.

so this is also fun and something I hadn't realised

I knew DeShaun Watson is entering the final year of his disastrous 5 year $230m fully guaranteed deal in 2026, part of (I believe) the most disastrous trade/deal in NFL history

but what I hadn't realised is that because the Browns have pushed the cap pain down the line with a sequence of re-signing option bonuses, Watson not only carries a cap hit of $80.7m in 2026 but there is also another $50m cap hit spread over the following 3 years. So for the Browns to cut him loose before the end of next season would involve a dead cap hit of $130m!

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/...

it truly has been a magnificent **** up by the Browns and karma for them trading for and then signing the filthy piece of **** in the first place

here's an article on

- the picks the Texans have made and
- the players picked in the exact spots the Browns would have chosen at

Definitely makes you believe in karma.

Popped open that link and saw Tank Dell's name, amongst the list of players the Texans drafted from all those picks, who I definitely had forgotten about.

It would be ****ing hilarious if after all the years the Niners should have won it that this disaster of a season is the year they actually do

watch them do it, Lions are out of it so I'm siding with you SRM, lets go niners!!

Sweet Carolina

Josh Johnson to start this week for the Commies. He has 1 NFL win. I predict he gets his 2nd this week against the Cowboys. 😮

If nothing else, you have to applaud his tenacity.

Josh Johnson is the Ryan Fitzpatrick of Josh McCowns. By which, I mean, he's a king among journeymen.

His action in service of an injured Marcus Mariota in Week 16 marked his first pass as a member of the Washington football team since 2018, but no one knows him as simply a Commanders backup. His career has spanned 18 seasons, nine NFL starts and four professional football leagues. He's spent time with 14 different NFL franchises -- a number that puts him above all other journeymen and makes him an immaculate grid cheat code. So who has he played for in his pro career?

Oh, friends, buckle up, because we're about to take a tour through a bunch of practice squads and failed spring football leagues before landing back with the Commanders this winter. In chronological order, Johnson has played for the:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2008–2011, five starts, 0-5 as a starter)
San Francisco 49ers (2012, practice squad/offseason only)
Sacramento Mountain Lions (2012, United Football League)
Cleveland Browns (2012)
Cincinnati Bengals (2013)
San Francisco 49ers (2014)
Cincinnati Bengals (2015, practice squad/offseason only)
New York Jets (2015, practice squad/offseason only)
Indianapolis Colts (2015)
Buffalo Bills (2015)
Baltimore Ravens (2016, practice squad/offseason only)
New York Giants (2016)
Houston Texans (2017)
Oakland Raiders (2018, practice squad/offseason only)
San Diego Fleet (2018, Alliance of American Football, did not play in the regular season)
Washington (2018, three starts, 1-2 as a starter)
Detroit Lions (2019)
Los Angeles Wildcats (2020, XFL)
San Francisco 49ers (2020, practice squad/offseason only)
New York Jets (2021)
Baltimore Ravens (2021, one start, 0-1 as a starter)
Denver Broncos (2022)
San Francisco 49ers (2022)
Baltimore Ravens (2023–2024)
Washington Commanders (2025)
