Aces Up IP 4-bet pot
1/3 NLHE 9 handed
We're playing a great game and the table is getting better and better, we've been straddling and runnin
thx java
posting is fine i meant the dripping out of the hh line by line. i dont really understand why you do it and it seems its annoying to everyone judging by the amount of feedback (and lack of followup) you got in the first half of the thread vs the second
i dont really think almost anything i post on here is narcissistic. i go out of my way to remain anonymous and make nothing about me while giving all of you (mostly unappreciated!) help for little - no return. if you want i am willing to stop responding to your posts
Once you make aces up on the turn, I would bet 150 leaving a half pot left to shove the river. If he check/shoves, you are probably behind, but have odds to call.
4! is so pointless. Low stake fish are playing close to face up when they 3!. You know they usually have a big pair, so only call to set mine or when you have better odds to play like JTs/98s. Generally 4! AA/KK only.
i dont like pre unless your capable of folding to jam. then i like it, your cold 4b from the straddle to iso the steaming LP, i get it. But if you cannot talk yourself into to folding vs a tank jam then your gambling big here and its a huge mistake imo.
if you CAN talk yourself into a fold pre, then i like this play alot. getting IP vs a steamer who likely is holding a grudge in a low spr spot is primetime.
flop i want to check, his range is going to be wider than normal and this isnt a very good board for our 4b range. This flop hits the callers range way harder than our cold 4b range.
I check back flop thinking this can still be something like QQ
Turn 380 - J♦ 7♣ 3♣ A♦ (aces up)
V checks with a long pause, 550 back...
i agree with java for turn, 200/gii. He could talk himself into a call here with some weak hands thinking were bluffing the Ace. steam makes people think weird sometimes.

I don't think there is any question this is a 4!/fold. Would be insane to call allin preflop with AJo in a 1/3 game.

i was referring to OP, what might seem like a "no question" spot to some could be very questionable to others. If OP is considering anything other than 4b/fold he should not 4b.

My first instinct was actually small now, although really not much difference here I think.
Money is going in against AA/AK/JJ anyway. $90 or so seems like it can get one more street from KK/QQ or the larger $175 size lays a price for the flush draws and is probably better to string along AQ. Feel like there are meaningfully more combos of KK/QQ and they won't call the larger size, but idk. Maybe enough AQ combos to warrant the bigger size.
