Grinding Past the Fries
Hello all,
My contract at work finished at the end of March there, and before looking for a new one I've decided to take
Yeah I personally haven't ever had any drama about being a Euro, I'm the good kind, I'll get the straddle on, chat away etc. I actually give the Euros you're talking about a hard time wherever possible. They need to do better.
Unfortunately it's a problem that can't be fixed, instead things will just go more and more private until there's few public games left. It sucks but it's inevitable.
I appreciate that rickroll, a lot ♥
A7dd at the start.. The flat on the flop is terrible. I am raising there and getting it in. You can have him crushed against weaker flush draws and its not like hes pump fisting the situation with an over pair either. He has to worry about you having a set. And then you check the turn after he checks to you is even worse. If he has a hand like QK and spikes K or Q on the river and its not a diamond you let him win the pot for free. This is way to passive. That is about as good as it is going to get with A7s on a flop like that. I guess you are hoping for 2 pair plus to raise. That is just way to nitty. I thought you were pro high level upswing coach? T9 is a questionable call one the turn. I would just fold there unless he bets really small. You are also going into reverse implied odds hoping you hit a straight on the river. It is really hard to get paid even if the straight hits. The QK hand way to small cb on the flop. There is 3 hearts out there. You should be betting like 300 not 125. And on the turn I would be smaller to try to get to feel like hes priced in to go for a flush. I see has a flush but you played it opposite of what I would do. You can't worry about opponents flopping flushes and focus on charging his flush draws for max value. Other hands you played fine. I think the T6s is fine to raise. You are playing against weaker players. Should open up your range more.

Sorry to crush your poker heros game. Coping being in denial doesn't make him or you a better player. Xenoblade mindset = “Because this person is a coach, their line must be correct — and if you disagree, you’re overconfident and ignorant."
You guys need to stop acting you're high level players just because you chat on here. I don't know whats going on but its always weird comments when a coach is told his hands were played poorly. Basically you guys believe a coach plays perfect poker and if anyone comments its DK. People like you 2 is why the high level players I chat with daily don't help you guys anymore. We don't have to help anyone on here. You guys can remain break even or losing players and become coaches. We don't care. I am helping him out. If disagree with what I said about his strategy then explain why or move on. That is what a poker forum is for and why I thought he posted this because he played poorly.
I mean just when you told him to size up on monotone board… have you ever looked at a solver?
do you understand how ranges interact with one another?
honestly really surprised to see someone post something so wildly innacurate in 2026 when so much information is available for free now

And you would be right about this but this is live players who play 40 to 50% of hands from my experiences. Against them you are exploiting them to max your value. So you would go bigger cause their ranges are much wider. If its online of course I would go with a small bet. He is playing live against weaker passive players who have much wider ranges then what a solver would believe they have.
So when you are playing live against people playing pretty wide range you should be going bigger to max ev immediately. The core to poker is maxing your EV. And that is my focus in the hands he was playing. Poker is not what would a solver do. Every decision should ask, does this line give the highest expected value long term? So you want to go smaller vs weaker players with wide ranges? I will make more money then you vs those players by betting bigger in a vacuum. I actually learned this from a bum hunter who was winning more money vs weak players then anyone online. He would even over bet spots like this.
But actually if you want to talk gto wise about this particular hand like you are playing competent players online with tighter ranges then yes 1/3rd on the flop is fine but I would go 1/3rd on the turn. And if we are ever raised of course we are done with the hand. Against a player with tighter ranges I would pot control the turn. I wouldn't go 3/4th. He can but his opponent gets a easier decision with his better and weaker hands from a bigger bet. We make more money long term with the 1/3rd sizing on the turn. But ago ahead and teach me how my different strategy vs live and online is wrong. I don't mind learning.
gto is neutral and the point is of it is to be unexploitable against perfect opponents.
Being exploitative we are just deviating from GTO to make +EV decisions vs imperfect players. TEll me where I am wrong though and I am mr dk because I am not doing what a solver would do in 2026.
playing vs wide ranges doesnt mean you suddenly get to jack up sizing on monotone board against recs, you’d just isolate yourself postflop vs thr stronger part of their ranges with a very marginal holding, if you think they’re stationing too much at least wait for a good hand, KQo on K high monotone without Qh you end up bloating the pot waaaaay too often, even gazzy’s line was likely putting too much money in the pot on average doing this pure
if you wanna polarize vs fish then fine go ahead and polarize, but do it with hands worth polarizing, not weak 1 pair

I just went over 2 hands with a kid who is learning poker cause he wanted to go over this topic with me after reading your nonsense. He had Kjs in 2 spots one was UTG and mp called who was tight reg flop was K72r. In that spot he check called which is correct. This important for pot control and range protection. Now he had the same situation vs a fish who limped pre flop from the btn and the sb limped in too and he did iso raise with JKdd to push out the sb. The flop was K72cc. He checked. I said its wrong. The fish has very wide range range to go 3/4ths. You want to extract value for their never fold mistakes. He checked back and got value on turn and river vs K9o. You must be doing the same thing. Get coaching and understand how to play vs pro and fish so can you max your EV when you play. I am not here to teach you. You should know this stuff already.
The fish is not a perfect opponent. You are acting like you have be unexploitable vs a fish is quite comical. KQ top pair even without a flush blocker is pretty much the nuts against live fish. They are playing 50% of hands haha. Most have 0 fold to 3b dude. You have to trolling at this point. You are playing live on 1 table and you don't have a lot of opportunity to stack fish like its online across several tables or playing hu. I done it many times in these spots and they call all 3 streets with mp. I was watching that corey eyring trying to run 3 barrel bluffs against live players getting snapped off over and over again by mp even bp. And you don't want to go 3 streets with top pair QK here? haha
live fish and online fish is no different, relative hand strength of KJ on K72 2 tone is way different than KQ on K62 monotone, not even sure why you’re comparing the 2
you need a really special case of mega whale to justify 3 barreling KQo no hearts on K62hhh, if you take this line againt every simgle recs you’re just whaling
Hello iburydoscocaroaches, I appreciate your input! I'm going to respond to some of your comments, please don't just answer with "omg you can't take criticism!" or "lol you're so upset somebody is calling you out for being so bad at poker!" - that's not what's happening, I'm simply giving my 2 cents π
The first hand you criticised was the A7dd hand. You believe the flop flat is terrible, and that we should raise and go with it, in a SRP, 150bb eff, when my opponent has bet in a spot which should be a range check (thus making his perceived range much stronger).
It is really common for players who are less experienced, not all that studied, a little less in tune with how the game works, to throw around buzzwords like "terrible" or "punt" or "blunder" without really knowing what they are talking about (and I GENUINELY mean that with all due respect). I'd recommend that you start to work with solvers, and study things like equity and EV, it'll help you have more of an understanding of how the game works.
Now, this is a 3 way spot, which means you can't really use a solver like GTOWiz or PIO to study it, you'd have to have a multiway solver (which I don't have I'm afraid). What we can do, however, is use a standard solver to get a rough idea for how this spot should be played.

As we can see, the HJ raises, they cbet, and when we have A7dd, the highest EV option is actually to just call. The thing I wanted to point out to you, however, is that you can raise or call in this spot, and the EV's are extremely similar, and if you were to choose the slightly lower EV option, it is in no way "terrible" or a "blunder" as the less studied like to claim.
I'm gonna be blunt here and say that I'm not gonna read the remaining comments on the remaining hands given your take on this one, but like I say I appreciate the input, please watch the tone of your responses (nobody is as upset at your takes as you think), and I'm happy to answer any follow up questions you'd have about this hand!
Cheers,
Gazzy

#1 Quit with the soy boy cuck facial expressions. You look like a total clown you are like almost 40?.l It just screams desperation.
Pick a direction of what type of viewers you want to attract.
Do you want droolers like that watch Frankie C or Corey Ehring? Or are you going for a more strategic channel?
You aren't being original you are just copying what everyone else is doing. Same lines, 'lets goo' 'disgusting spot ', etc
There's only a small market share of poker content viewers and you aren't doing enough to get a market share of that.
You need something original and unique, that is true to your personality.
What sets you apart from other similar poker vlog content creators?

youtube traffic is mostly 12 year olds
if you don't have stuff that appeals to them, you are done
think of it as a loss leader - have thumbnails a 12 year old wants to watch, get their clicks and then the algo is like "hey people like this i'll stop hiding it and begin showing it to people who perhaps aren't 12"
you don't like it, i don't like, gazz probably doesn't like it either - but it's unlikely to go away - i'm sure he can even show you via his dashboard the engagement increase he gets by putting that sort of facial expression in the thumbail
