If the rng is manipulated to encourage action it’s amazing for regs who better understand thresholds against action players when the avg pot in bb is massive relative to any other site (ante, straddle, auto post being a part of a large chunk of pots)

Has already been pointed out but people with existing bias such as mine are also not able to quantify how the avg pot in straddle games being a bazillion ways should act against that bias but either doesn’t, or doesn’t do it appropriately

This will never be possible. How did the bovada collusion scandal come to light? It’s bc iirc you can download hands on bovada, right? Meaning you have database of hh’s. WPT Gold doesn’t allow you to download hands nor do they let you see past hands correct? No data, no database, no evidence ever.

This could all be put to rest if WPT Gold just used a third party RNG certifier (instead of doing it in house) and allowed you to download hands but it’s not required under the sweepstakes model iirc.

I was actually mistaken, they do use 3rd party but haven’t disclosed which certifier they used. I am up over an insignificant sample just chimed in bc I’ve lurked tgigs blog for many years and have never seen him complain about RNG and here he is doubling down on it. Just thought that was interesting.

Was also surprised to see Tgiggity think the rng was unfair on here.

I will start by saying I am not from the US and cannot play on this site so cannot speak about the subject but this post caught my attention because I believe that in my jurisdiction where it is regulated it should be a regulatory requirement that players can request their own HH.

I hate anonymity too and all these two things achieve is reduce transparency and increase suspicion.

WPT has shown itself to be lacking in integrity regarding how they **** on a WSOP tournament by offering a bonus that compromised the integrity of the tourney and did it just to promote their brand so it is safe to say I wouldn't have the highest confidence in them.

I'm top 5 in volume at .2/.5/1 NL. FWIW, nothing seems/feels abnormal to me about the RNG.

Being able to see what they have on any hand helps out quite a bit.

I can offer up a simplified theory that the RNG is possibly off.

There are a lot of bugs on the site, right? This tells me it's not 100% accurate. I don't know how hard it is for an RNG to be accurate.

The only time I have thought something was up with the RNG in 20 years of playing online poker was after I had been playing on Ignition for a while and then it came out shortly after there were bot rings capable of sharing hole cards

I also know what it feels like to have a massive edge (10bb+) playing on Global, and I also know what it feels like to play hundreds of thousands of full ring hands with a 4BB edge

These are literally the best games I've ever played in (statistically speaking)

Yeah, I've never seen so many regs argue specifically about RNG on a site before, very interesting indeed. I just thought it was comical that you got guys winning over irrelevant sample sizes telling other guys winning over millions of hands that they're deluded or to get good lmao. I feel like there are quite a bit of regs like coordi who think the RNG maybe sus but they're still winning vs guys like tgigs who think its sus and losing heaps, idk man. I too feel its kind of sus but winning at a large clip so I guess I'm not allowed to complain. We'll never know, like I said before, no hh, no database, no way to prove anything. Every single hand we play just goes into the abyss and we just play on.

Edit: I switched to play mainly live 2 years ago but still play online semi-regularly so I can get some HH's to run it through trainer and monker to study/improve and WPT Gold is the main site I play on. I'm currently up around 3.7k over 24k hands playing the .20/.50 (.10) which is around 31bb/100. Yes, irrelevant sample size but still think the RNG is sus LMAO.

definitely this, variance in this format is crazy therefore ppl try to find reasoning. i have played hundreds k of hands on gold and many hands on same format other rooms, its all the same

About an hour ago ClubWPTGold had a pretty large scale location glitch on their end which resulted in a significant percentage of MTT players to be automatically removed from their tournament. The site auto refunds the players that individual bullet but it doesn't account for previous bullets, stacks size, stage of tournament, etc. In the hour since there has been no official posts on any of their social media, or their private telegram group which they've been pushing nonstop, and only one or two comments under people complaining to them about how "they are working on it".

What really concerns me here is that there is clearly an active flaw which could happen again at any moment. In addition there has been as little communication as possible on their end and seemingly no plan in place for something like this. I've had this happen on ACR, probably 5 years ago, and even they had prompt communication with the community as well as ICM refunds.

I figure ClubWPT will have some sort of response eventually but the lack of a plan and the lack of communication are highly concerning. I'm also somewhat concerned they will opt for their strange massive freeroll strategy as an apology instead of properly reimbursing individuals. What if this were to happen on Sunday when someone is deep in a bigger event?

My state recently introduced a bill that would ban the "sweepstakes games". I assume this would remove Global from online options for Indiana players but I am not sure how it would affect WPT Gold. If you are in Indiana like me, you might keep this on your radar.
