I have read it multiple times heres how it would go in courtjudge "what were your grounds"ice agent "they were blocking and prohibiting my job of arresting an illegal alien so I assumed they were an illegal alien or aiding one and wanted to check their id" judge "ok"Like the absolutely insanity to think law enforcement shouldn't detain someone someone blocking 80% of the road

lol yes, the judge is going to ask the cop what their probable cause was. you’re a moron.

So the judge follows up with: so you were in the process of arresting and detaining a person at the time?
Ice: Well no, we had gotten our vehicle stuck in the snow.
Judge: On the road?
Ice: Yes, in front of her vehicle, where she would have to go around it from where she stopped.
Judge: So this arrest you just claimed existed, never occurred. It never started or finished?
Ice: yes.
Judge: what duties were you performing when this happened?
Ice: I was standing in the road with my phone.
Judge: do you have rules for the use of deadly force? What are they? Are they written? Can I read a copy? What do they say about firing at vehicles?
Ice: yes, but I didn’t follow them because we were really upset that when my gang drove up on her, she wouldn’t get the **** out of the car.
Judge: were you struck by the vehicle?
Ice: no, my gun struck the camera when I shot that ****ing bitch.

Not quite, at least not in principle. A motor vehicle can be a deadly weapon. See the recent case in Liverpool and the long stretch that the perpetrator will now have to serve (21 years 6 months) even though no one was killed.Again recently, a London police firearms officer was tried for murder after shooting and killing the driver of a car the police had stopped. (The plate wa

Law enforcement officers are not merely responsible for how they resolve situations, they are also responsible for the situations they create. And yes, more responsibility hinge on them than the public, because the point of law enforcement is to have people who are trained and paid to handle law and order among a public which is not.

Add to this that there is pretty much a snowball's chance in hell it is correct to find yourself in front of a moving vehicle, firing your gun in the direction of bystanders and colleagues.

At that point you have risked your own life, the life of the driver of the vehicle, the lives of bystanders and the lives of your colleagues. That is a major cluster**** created by sheer incompetence and quite possibly by disregard for the safety of others.

So, the only question is where the errors happened: Procedures, recruitment, training, planning, leadership, awareness or decision-making. To figure that out you need oversight and a proper investigation, none of which will be provided as political and administrative leadership have already made it clear that they are happy with what happened.

The only thing that muddles the waters in this case is that a lot of people support the killing of the victim due to their perception of her political views. They disagree with her, thus they conclude that she deserved to die. After that, they merely fill in the blanks with comforting hot takes from social media.

Incompetence has little to do with it.

Remember when all these "just comply" guys who are pretending that disobeying orders is a death sentence called mask mandates horrific authoritarianism?

I'm always amazed by the people who don't understand how objective standards work in the law.

Wow, the oligarchs are now paying ice agents to kill people.

Hedge fund billionaire and vocal pro-Trump commentator Bill Ackman has donated $10,000 to the controversial fundraiser for Jonathan Ross, the immigration agent who was caught on camera fatally shooting Renee Good in Minneapolis last week.

i was routinely called a monster for saying that the problem with mask mandates is they weren't enforced

how does the law work HERE rocco?

whats gonna happen?

will ross go down like chauvin or not? he should go cause it was worse than what chavin did.

HOW CAN THEY ALL LIKE LIKE THAT??

WTF???

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???

I think the better question is will the law even try to work here given it was a federal agent and given the clowns running the federal agencies.

The issues I see are if the state or feds charge him:
1. Does her conduct amount to obstructing
2. Does he have immunity (more of a civil issue)
3. Any self defense arguments if her vehicle was being used as a dangerous instrmentality.
4. Any issue of preemption.

Making a donation to make sure people are treated as innocent until proven guilty makes Ackerman more of a lefty than anything else.

It doesn't matter what he, or any other ICE agent did or will do. They will not be held accountable as long as Trump is president.

OK SO WILL HE BE HELD ACCOUTABLE WHEN A DEM IS PRESIDENT??

seems unlikely

Its clear he acted unlawfully but can you find a jury of 12 that would convict him? I think you would need to focus on the second and third shots but I bet you get a hung jury every time

"I'm literally a US citizen"

8 tac'd out officers disrupting business to assault a US citizen. Cool stuff going on

Lets hear more from the "small government" guys why random citizens deserve this

I don't think the subsequent shots matter. The decision hinges on whether it was reasonable to use deadly force in the first place. and before you even get to a jury, you need a prosecution that is willing to pursue the case.

there will certainly be a civil case.

well, they let him go.......................
