Just a neverending source of the lamest and most unentertaining poker "drama" ever. Every time one comes back to read about the controversies surrounding this moron you expect to read he is in jail or maybe actually paid people back or something.

Now in this latest "drama" he gets his ass kicked after running his big fat stupid mouth, comes back guns drawn or something, unfortunately does not get into a shootout (are we allowed to joke like that here?), and now is involving a lawyer.

After watching the video and some of the recent posts I got curious and looked up Maurice on the Palm Beach County clerk of the courts website to see if I could find out anything on him. Basically, I found out what most of the readers of this website already know that Maurice is a total stiff and probably broke. In the past two years he has had 3 eviction cases filed against him. In other words, he can’t even pay his rent. In addition, his wife filed for a divorce on January 6, 2025, and a final judgement was issued on October 1, 2025. There was no claim for a division of property which indicates there was no property to divide.
As of today, according to Hendon, he has won $6, 751, 682. The number is impressive, but he has nothing to show for it but a lot of debt and a horrible reputation in the poker world.
how does one get access to a rental property when public record shows you've not paid previous landlords? i assume all landlords practice due diligence, otherwise they'll invariably not last long in the business.

The number and his rinky dink rings mean nothing in the real world. Their only function is allowing a guy who is likely down lifetime at poker to keep scamming.
The fact he has no moral compass or conscience, scams non-stop and is still dead broke is a testament to what a genuinely stupid person he is.

He is a scumbag but not a dummy, he will likely not have anything tied up in banks or assets that anyone with a decent lawyer could go after. I want to say in previous threads it was pretty clear for many years prior to divorce that everything of value was in his wife's name. I would imagine that whomever he is in a backing deal with (someone who he is actually afraid of and pays to keep the other people away from him) is handling his finances through some kind of llc entity and essentially pays his buy-ins to go to these events. Only other option is that he has everything liquid in plastic buried all over Florida lol. I would suspect that he has been backed by someone who has no issues collecting (or keeping him in makeup) for years and the people who have complained about him, got fleeced because he targeted the poker nerd types who respected the accomplishments but don't have a propensity for violence.
