Mini Walrus - Reveal tbd by eyebooger
I can get behind that.
In 4th place scoring 6 points:This is the best song of this category, and one of the best songs submitted through four rounds. I’ve avoided this artist (and my decision to make this a category stemmed from a snarky comment I made regarding a song I accidentally heard of theirs), but I think I should go ahead and take an intentional listen now. I struggle with the category fit,
She really is very good
Best of that group of young female artists on the up
But this is very much like a self awakening song
i was with you on the critique of mine but now that i saw this
Mommy, daddy, look at me
I went to school and I got a degree
All my friends call it "the big D"
I went to school and I got the big D
I got the big D
I got the big D
I got the big D
I went to school and I got the big D
Is your muffin buttered?
Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?
Excuse me (what?)
Excuse me (what?)
Hey you, over there
On the chaise longue in your underwear
What are you doing sitting down?
You should be horizontal now
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
Is your mother worried?
Would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother?
Excuse me (what?)
Excuse me (what?)
Hey you, in the front row
Are you coming backstage after the show?
Because I've got a chaise longue in my dressing room
And a pack of warm beer that we can consume
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, on the chaise longue, on the chaise longue
All day long, on the chaise longue
All day long, all day long, on the chaise longue
All day long, all day long, on the chaise longue
All day long, all day long, on the chaise longue
On the chaise longue, all day long, on the chaise longue
Oh hey, someone submitted what I probably would’ve submitted for this final category.
Spoiler
And someone else submitted what made me think up the category.
And someone submitted the correct answer.
I finished mine.
You should finish yours now.
While waiting, a band you have never heard of.... those you who are/were into punk rock might like them.
We need some discipline in here
I decree that this final reveal shall take place this week!
I’ve got them ranked, just need to do write ups. Revealinating tomorrow unless I’m feeling saucy later this e’en.
5. The best song ever written
I will concede this category was a tall order, but many of you delivered. Some really good music selections here.
In 9th place scoring 1 point:
I must just not like this artist. They’ve been submitted more than once this game and again aren’t being well-received. I thought it was fine enough at first listen, but then felt like it was dragging on a bit so checked how much time was left. There were FOUR AND A HALF MINUTES LEFT. And it felt like fifteen.

Stevie Wonder - As

In 8th place scoring 2 points:
I like this artist a lot, but this ain’t it. I’m sorry, but that chorus gets a big no from me. Ruins the song imo, even though the rest of it still has some issues. This isn’t even the best song on this album, much less the best song ever written.

JMurder3 submits:
The Notorious B.I.G - Juicy
Okay, from here on out I like the songs.
In 7th place scoring 3 points:
I’ve never heard this and I like it, despite where it’s placing here. It likely would’ve ranked higher in a different category, but I just don’t get a “best song ever written” vibe from it.

I had my stereo cranked when I put this on so it's like a euro disco in here with no women no cocaine and it's 4pm in Ohio
I assume the entries so far are ironic.
In 6th place scoring 4 points:
When I saw this submission I predicted it’d be last place. Not because it’s a bad song, but it just gets old. The person who wrote this (when they were 21 years-old, ffs) certainly is one of the greats, but this song just doesn’t really do it for me.

ArcticKnight submits:
Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound Of Silence
i don't even remember what i submitted lol
In 5th place scoring 5 points:
I know little of this artist and what I did know was a song I hate. Thankfully that’s not what we have here. I definitely don’t hate this, but I also don’t love it as much as the entrant. The person who submitted this song loves it so much that they submitted it four times this Walrus. Because live versions often have a different vibe, I checked out the studio version as well. Stick with this live version, it’s way better.
There’s a line in this song that actually makes me angry because of how bad it is. I considered dropping it down a notch, but it’s too late.

Neil Young - Heart of Gold
