Sadly I have also known people like this. For these people having the money doesn't improve their quality of life because they never spend it or get to enjoy it. At its most extreme it really can only be explained by mental health issues.
Oh yeah, I can only describe my friend's existence as "miserable", which nobody in high school with parents that pay for all necessities should be. They even gave him a brand new pickup truck. I think that arrangement ended when he graduated. Funny side story, he was all set to go to medical school, because doctors make a lot of money. Then he talked to someone in medical school and decided to change his major. Too much work, lol.

All of the short (usually female) dealers would just yell at the players to push their chips in and help out.

Ive seen a couple during my now 12-13 years of playing yeah. One of them was at Venetian cashgame a few years back during the WSOP. The other one was a dwarf i think,at least he was extremely short. The game went tilting slow with dealers using this rake. Basically if you actually need to use one of these things its impossible to be superfast.
But its surely pretty rare to see,and as pointed out earlier Rice using this homemade rake thats barely holding together-while at the same time claiming he is some elite turbofast dealer at double the speed of his fellow dealers is just next level laughable.

I have seen a couple of short older dealers use them.
None of them were janky and taped together.
It's peak Rice delusion to have to use one of these while also proclaiming himself to be a fast dealer.

The real question is, would Rice get the reference? We know he prefers King of Queens to any other series out there, whether network TV, cable, streaming etc.

If I were a teacher and taught a lesson, and 0 of my 33 students understood it, then the problem is me.
If I were a salesman and pitched to 33 potential clients in a day and closed zero deals, I'd have to rethink my career.
Hell, even Shaq couldn't miss 33 straight free throws.
