If you lived in Minneapolis, and an ICE agent demand ID.....

......would you comply. (You have broken no law. You're just walking into the grocery store.)

Why or Why not?

Trevor Diggface seems to be very upset but I can't tell why exactly...

by Victor m

they should be able to edit your name out of the thread.

I have a stalker from poker I play on a small ring fenced site so the pools very small and im playing the same degenerates everyday so they can get a lil rowdy. I busted a legit bot ring a few years back and he just **** up the thread about it and doxed me. So at the time I asked some admins to remove old threads with my name but I got nothing.

If an admin sees this would they be so kind to delete it and probably bob. I get accused of not being an American a lot here But I'm actually closer to Minnesota then almost all of you. Canada is very close to Minnesota πŸ˜€ its pretty much the same place. I know you guys are not the best at geography

FWIW, I never thought you were American.

Oh I know my point was people from California like bob here keep telling me to mind my own business. Ontario is way more like Minnesota then a lot of US states. I live closer to Minnesota then the majority of posters here. I live closer to Minnesota then Ottawa.... We seem to have a lot of the same problems like are hatred for trump and the obvious

by MoViN.tArGeT m

No I didn't you just don't read its post #221 it was like 4 hours ago. I don't know why your so set on defending a community that wants nothing to do with you. as 5 south pointed out 92% of somolians in Minnesota are us citizens these are not fresh immigrants off a boat they have been here for a long time abusing your system and not integrating. They don't have an excuse to use

When I responded to your post 216, I hadn't yet read your post 221. Capiche?

I love Somalis. 10x more than I love Canadians.

Your posts do not show a lot of understanding of U.S. government, U.S. law enforcement, or U.S. judicial procedure. It's possible that you are ignorant on these topics because you are Canadian, but I think it is more likely that you are just low-info generally.

This hurts Trevor a lot. Poor Trevor.

I wouldn't ask Somalis not to integrate, but I'd prefer if they didn't even though that would mean continuing to put Ethiopianish food on spaghetti. That combo just doesn't work. Also way too heavy on cloves.

Spaghetti goes with basically everything imo

Even if you live closer to MN and have the same problems, why won’t you mind your own business about an internal US problem of which you are external? It’s not like you would be denying us a well thought out solution to the problem.

Why don’t Trevor and Losern pledge to fix Canada first and then cross the border and fix our problem? Maybe the Northern wall can be completed before these morons try to cross.

We try to cross the border legally πŸ˜€ First step to fixing Canada was to remove Trudeau and that was done . The USA could learn a lesson from our last election but chances are the Democrats will not and you are looking at President JD Vance

by MoViN.tArGeT m

what's your point your making no sense I gave two easily googleable statistics there's nothing about per capita in them I know the difference./ The population of Minnesota is 5.8 million there are about 100k Somalis if 87% of the fraud cases are charged against somalits does that not mean somalis are a huge part of the fraud based on per capita? It goes against your point per c

If there are 10 of a certain crime and 80% are committed by one ethnicity, but that’s only .01% of the population, calling them all criminals would be pretty ****ed since 99.99% are not criminals. So no, you don’t understand per capita statistics since you are offering statistics irrelevant to per capita numbers.

We already have too many terrible politicians doing serious harm to Canada. LAST thing we need is Trevor trying to fix our problems.

I don't have any mod powers outside poli and bfi or i'd edit out your name for you mt

I asked but I guess I didn’t receive. Haven’t checked the thread since I posted so not sure if a reason was given or what’s going on

I even quoted your support

Smart racists, on the other hand, are careful about not posting dubious or misleading statistics and talk about vague notions like "low-trust societies".

There is nothing vague about "low trust societies". It is an established term in cultural studies for societies where trust in strangers and public institutions is low, usually replaced with relying on friends, family and your close network.

What's the trust ratings of Somalis in Somali, Somali-Americans, and the average American? Show me how you calculate the scores.

Eta: first, second and third generation

I wrote a post about government power versus government norms as a response to ecriture d'adulte.

I suggest you continue your debate on Somali-Americans in Minnesota with the people who were actually discussing Somali-Americans in Minnesota.

And if you can't do that, explain why what you're talking about is relevant.

If your post isn't related to this thread, fine, but if your notions aren't vague, you should still be able to answer my questions.

The thread is about ICE agents demanding ID, ecriture d'adulte wrote a post about the powers of law enforcement which I found interesting. I wrote a response about the importance of how the law can't be the only thing that dictates law enforcement, but also norms. That the police can do something doesn't mean it always the right thing to do or that it isn't worrying that they do it.

I have no opinion of American-Somalis in Minnesota, nor any knowledge about them. If my post gave that impression, my apologies.

As for how you measure "low trust / high trust" you take a big sample and ask people questions related to trust as defined by your instrument (a research setup for what to ask and how to score it), either in interview or survey pending on what works best for that region.
