I definitely don't care deeply lmao. why does that make me anti trans. ive battled lozen enough on that. but fine i like a good challenge.
If im being honest my favorite female sports are volleyball longjump and maybe tennis (damn thats why i recommended longjump) I think I got a thing for tall girls
If it's of any interest, in England, womenβs soccer regularly attracted bigger crowds than top-flight men's matches up to 1921, when the Football Association banned the womenβs game for precisely that reason-- a ban that remained in force for 50 years. Womenβs soccer is only just regaining its former popularity because of the success of the Lionesses (the England national team). The speed and power are obviously less than in the men's game, but the skill and grace (and the curious lack of fake fouls and injuries) make it at least as watchable.
Ya ive watched some canada vs us hockey games good stuff. I always was forced to watch my sister play tho it was pretty mid. oh I think I once lost to a girls team!
If soccer was not the number 1 sport I could see it overtaking men mostly because of the big sports it has the least contact except for basketball but you need height for that
Itβs just so silly after debates like this for any of you to then turn around and claim to care deeply about the fairness of outcomes for womenβs sports.
Be openly anti-trans and claim it for what you are. Donβt hide behind female athletes you otherwise view as inferior.
cn, you're talking to someone who easily watches over a hundred hours of womens sports each year

In the US, women's soccer has become more popular than the men's team. I'm not sure if horsey or rick is going to seriously argue that it's because they're stronger athletes than the men.

this is untrue
yes they banned them from playing on fa grounds because some of the very high level women's matches done for special occasions like boxing day outdrew the men and they viewed this as a threat
however, it's categorically false to claim they outdrew the men on the reg

lol, something really embarrassing must have happened to the MAGATs today for them to bust out the CHICS WITH DICKS card for 5 pages...again.

I am a big track and field fan, and I struggle with trans and the sports angle. Men are physically different than women, which is why every male world record is "better" than its female counterpart.
A human who developed and grew with the "tools" of a male body (testosterone, etc.) is likely going to have a distinct physical advantage over one who did not in an endeavor like track and field.
Caster Semenya was amazingly dominant in the 800m for a reason. She has internal testes, which affected her physical development. Her advantage over other female athletes is enormous because of this.
It sure seems unfair to make other women compete against someone with such an advantage, but at the same time this woman is who she is. It's not as if she's shooting an angle and just pretending to be a woman. She was raised as a woman. She has external female genitalia.
50 years ago they practically tackled a woman for simply trying to run the Boston Marathon. Women's athletics has come a very long way.
This issue does not have an easy solution. It may not have a solution at all.

I don’t actually disagree with the science. I do vehemently disagree and strongly oppose the current “solutions”. Sex checks for female athletes are dangerous for women and reduce their power and autonomy over their own bodies.
I don’t know what the ideal solution is, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it’s not this.

careful now, you're two steps away from being a nazi apologist as far as others itt think π

i would like for you to reflect on the fact that bigeasy and i have identical viewpoints on this issue and consider how you attacked one as a transphobe for this belief and the other you agreed with but voiced concerns over implementation of such screening

this is national team data. demand is high in the US because the US team is very good. one of the top teams in the world. it's just like women's tennis viewership in the US is very high during the Williams' reign or Coco Gauff.
compared to the women's team, the men suck internationally, thus there's less demand to watch.
now compare viewership of MLS vs NWSL (that's National Women's Soccer League) but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know that and most people don't. I certainly didn't, I had to perplexity what the women's MLS equivalent is. yes i agree, NWSL should get a better CMO.
dickroll....have you ever considered growing a dick?

Stop using common sense and science on the lefties you will confuse them.
I have friends that powerlift and Crossfit and these ladies say it just aint fair

Iβm surprised you view your and his contributions to this debate as identical.
Plenty of successful male athletes have had genetic advantages or mutations that have given them an edge. The idea that a genetic advantage disqualifies you from competition seems to only come up in very specific instances, and it’s a cognitive bias that needs to be examined.

Except (as we've been reminded in this thread!) the women's soccer teams and tennis teams would lose to their male counterparts. They certainly aren't that great just in terms of raw athletics.

This is correct. They would lose to the 100th, or probably 1000th best male teams in the country.
Didn't they lose to the Dallas U-15 team?
I'm sure it was just due to unequal opportunities and investments lolol.

This is the lamest argument on this issue. If you take it to it's logical conclusions you would have no divisions in sport. Women's sports exist precisely because of this argument.
