From me, n-1 means top of the list is good. Always always always. I will actively avoid cluing that when top of the list is not good.

At the end, unlimited means skip top of the list.

Earlier in the game, after a large clue got missed early, I'll use a 1-3 word clue with unlimited to allow for big makeup.

Don't think I understand.

I think one or both are nicknames for him or other tennis star and both are for animals as well

We can do bear first as that’s slightly more likely if you like, but I think we guess those 4 and then can keep cover/queen as our list

Not sure why he reclued our animals instead of unlimited but there may be a reason and I don’t see any other options for the clue at this point

I think this gets us to 7 words so he can finish next turn

And if there is something we are missing for this clue then animals are good guesses anyway
