You guys around here are not common. You're intellectuals

What if it were impossible to die? Would that be worse than being mortal?

You get to live forever on Paradise Island. You will forever have a youthful body, and unlimited access to anything you like. Would that be better than being mortal, or would it after a few zillion years be the very epitome of hell?

Assuming normal brain function, you'd not have infinite memories, so no need to get super bored. I think it would be nice

Imagine instead of dying, you reach the age of fifty, and you're stuck like that in that body forever. Not just you, but everyone else as well.

You'll soon realize that this is hell.

So death is life.

Decay is what gives vitality to life.

Kurzweil is out of his mind. Clinging to life.

Consciousness has already being uploaded.

Consciousness has already been uploaded.

'We need to upload our consciousness.' because
'We need to live forever.'

'We're living in a simulation.' so
'We need to escape the simulation'

Great minds, yet so myopic, these people: Musk, Kurzweil, Yampolskiy. Each trapped and limited by their physicalist worldview

One of the few that gets it is Mo Gawdat. Listen to Mo Gawdat.

lmao

Mo and Deepak shopra did this

I haven't seen this before

yet I going to recommend it in advance

Apparently, the immortal jellyfish can live forever, at least in principle.

I thought Aligators were immortal, but a quick google search suggests maybe not.

I find it interesting that when you ask an LLM a question, it searches for the truth from sources such as Reddit.

I'm pretty sure I'm me. However, if I were someone else, I'm not sure I'd notice.

Imported this little beauty from China. Arrived today. Looks innocent but goes 0 to 45 Kph in a few seconds. With a thumb throttle or via peddling. Great for city commuting.

Be sure to ignore red lights and zebra crossings, and to go the wrong way down one-way streets. You'll fit right in.

They put in cycle lanes and special traffic lights that accommodate cyclists and make the roads safer for them, and for the rest of us, and the cyclists ignore them.

We’re all one. This can sound cliche or it can hit different.

The old photo from 10 years ago is supposed to be me. My mom tells me it’s me and my father likely agrees.

The genome is the same but I think that’s all.
