In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there a
To emphasize that, no matter what you think the rules should be at higher levels of women's sports, there is effectively no chance that transgender people could be a grave threat to the ioverall integrity of women's athletics. Attempts by the right wing to suggest otherwise are mostly a social media induced fever dream imo.
So people are saying they enjoy watching women's sports when its the olympics, sometimes as much or more than men, but can't fathom that womens sports, given an even playing field with mens, might be at least somewhat close to mens when it comes to pro sports?
I think it depends on the sport.
Ladies' roller derby was always far more popular than men's.*
I don't think all the hype and marketing in the world could make the WNBA as popular as the NBA.
I think the right marketing could absolutely make ladies' tennis more popular than men's tennis.
*I know it was a fake sport, but the point still stands.
I think I agree with almost all this. But what does any of this have to do with my post?
Most of it doesn't. I started off responding to your post questioning how we would know if transgender athletes were participating, but then I obviously continued off in a tangent that had nothing to do with your post.
Not sure why you think sports are fair or that life is fair
Thats actually a great lesson for people to learn from sports
I played baseball with CJ Henry, who ended up drafted by the Yankees. His brother played in the NBA. I'm 5'6 and a half

Fair enough.
Note well I don't recall making any editorial comment one way or another in this thread about trans athletes.
The point of Dunyains post was booty. That clip made the right wing rounds for, you guessed it, booty
There is an endless supply of beautiful women and nice asses so I never understood the rights obsession with ogling specific asses

Never occurred to me that ogling was a left vs. right thing. Source?
Pushing Sydney Sweeney as the hottest most beautiful most attractive sexiest person ever, as an example

yes, and that 100 hours is incredibly conservative, if we're including time i have it on in the background while working on my models then it rockets way upi'm far more inclined to watch something if i have a large position on it but wouldn't be watching it if i wouldn't have enjoyed watching it otherwise - i'm not smart enough to gain any insights off watching stuffi prefer wo
Women's college vollyball is great if you ASSk me. I like the international matches too they've got some world clASS players.
there is effectively no chance that transgender people could be a grave threat to the ioverall integrity of women's athletics.
So threats to integrity are ok on a small basis?
Look, I agree that the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the right-wing derposphere is incredibly overblown. But bringing up that there are only a few trans athletes so everything is cool is not something I agree with.

Men should not compete in women's sports. And in an increasing number of sports (where they've only been inadvisedly permitted in the last few years), they now can't.
so crossnerd was trolling about women's sports being just as popular to prove a point about trans **** right? I have to know
For the people who say because it's small numbers it doesn't matter:
Would there be a certain percentage of records held by biological males in say track and field events where it would become a problem and what percentage would that be?
Some people in this thread are really failing at reading comprehension.

I'm fine with just putting a (T) next to every record set by a trans athlete
I haven't thought about it too deeply but even separate trans records is probably fine
Its pretty easy to find compromise when the stakes are next to nothing
