POG PUB 2025-2026: About damn time. For a lot of things. But not everything.
Happy New Year, everyone.
I'll let you all mentally fill in the categories in the title.
The definition of capital that I use is "Value deployed in a production process to generate surplus value." It's different than assets or equities.
I only have Das Kapital. It's in das auto.
dayum! that is some great giving up!
Banana bread happens because baby Xnerd decides one week that she loves bananas and wants them with everything, but once I buy more she actually hates bananas and why did you even buy those?
I gave up on life today by ordering sandwiches. I can't take being sick any longer.
hang in there VR ♥
hang in there filthy ♥

I am the same. I buy bananas 5 or 6 at a time and either they are all gone in 3 days or on day 6 I freeze 4 or 5 bananas. Fortunately, they are currently 16 cents apiece here and banana bread is lovely, so regardless, they are never "wasted."
You would love baby Xnerd, Vr. I wish you could meet her… ♥
That last bit of banana bread I made was with frozen bananas for the first time. Wow, those guys create a LOT of liquid when they thaw. Do you pour that off or incorporate it into the bread? I poured it off to start when I pulled them out of the fridge and by the time I was ready to add them to the mix there was a lot more so I just used it in the batter. Seemed fine, although I was prepared for bread fail.
I volunteer as a banana bread taste tester!
Filthy I was learning about the current popularity of Tiny Movies and Micro Dramas. I guess with a lot using the Holywater platform. You need to get in on the action! This stuff is perfect for you.
Do you watch any of these? Supposedly the production quality of some are amazing.

You include the juices, they are where all the lovely caramelized banana flavor lives, plus moisture. Makes for a gloriously tender bread.
Xnerd, I think it's about time for me to make a cross country road trip to meet mini-Nerd. <3

never heard of any of this. sounds like it could be cool
thanks!
been a long time since I acted, and even a longer time since I worked on the movie making part of things.
i've always wanted to make mini movies like this. but also... idk... seems kind of a worrisome trend of shorter and shorter attention span, and things being shallower and shallower.
Yep, that is exactly what these feed. It's the Tiktok algorithm with a story added.
Netflix wants all their shows to restate the plot frequently because people are looking at their phones.
Better to serve content that meets them at their brainrot. Why is the show an hour long if their attention span is three minutes at best?
It's because of the interface. You're not going to choose a new video every three minutes.
I do understand that people's actual attention span is about three seconds. I can't wrap my mind around a three second drama though.
I hear these microdramas pay really well, but you have only a narrow window before they are all produced by AI.
AI art is real art
