Sklansky arrested and charged with domestic battery
Actually those one from the meaningless bible apply somewhat to this thread. It's basically Kant: "Act as you would want all other people to act towards all other people." If DS would have followed this principle, this thread would not exist. End of derail!
Normally the older we male humans get and the less testosterone kicks in, the better we become, but seems like this is not at everyone the case.
That's because he's extremely narcissistic. Half of his posts are some attempt at an IQ/intellectual brag/flex and/or self-aggrandizing
That email was extreme and I'm not excusing it, but might you consider what behavior might have precipitated such a response and the pressure put on David to write that?
I know and have known many people like Brandi. The unfortunate reality is some % are simply not going to survive their own respective ordeals in terms of living a full and hopefully fulfilled life. But to encourage someone to snuff it out just makes you a 100% Grade A asshole
I think people can understand why Brandi drove people to say/think what they said/thought about her, but that email is nothing but reflective of a fragile male ego and the things said are demonstrably fucked up and, quite frankly, pathetic
Once you understand the narcissism, it is completely unsurprising and sad
"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none"
Does your memory recall the summer WSOP around this same time where you lost your temper and physically assaulted Micon and others who came by your book stand? I was there and got shoved during that altercation.
I worked at 2+2's WSOP booth for each of the four days during the 2008 convention (the only year 2+2 participated). I was there from opening until closing each day.
I have no memory of any physical confrontations at the 2+2 booth or anywhere in the convention center. I don't remember even the slightest of arguments taking place. Usually, it was just people coming over to peruse the books or say hello to the people there (Mason, David, Dan Harrington, etc.)
The only time I can remember Mason being "aggressive" is when he called over Doyle Brunson so that he could speak with Ray Zee (who was making a rare Vegas appearance).
Since first meeting Mason in person in early 2002, I've never seen Mason get into any physical confrontation in a poker room (despite people posting accusations on these forums). I've never even seen Mason get into what could be called a "heated argument". Usually, Mason can be counted on to be one of the quietest and outwardly calmest players at a poker table.
Implying that Micon probably didn't deserve to be physically assaulted is dubious at best anyways
You knew what he looked like when you erupted and got in his face. Again, I was shoved during this altercation. This happened in a crowded room, there were witnesses.
And David knows who I am. Why don’t you ask him.

I’ve seen his picture but I doubt that I would recognize him. Also, the only time we had a booth at the WSOP was 18 years ago.
I remember clearly what happened, I was there, as was Micon obviously, and Brett Jungblut kept me from falling so I know he was there as well.
Are you calling me a liar?
I remember it clearly.
Why isn't this thread locked? Not much more to discuss.

Both can hardly be true, one of them stretches the truth, lies or should visit a doctor.
I imagine Dan Druff was either present or for sure would have heard about it when/if it happened. I'm hoping he will comment. I don't recall what year Micon's podcast started, but if his podcast was happening in 2008, it almost certainly would have been discussed on air.
I very vaguely remember hearing about a shouting match at a WSOP involving Micon and other poker personalities years ago. Could be a false memory, or a real memory of a completely different incident, though.
I'm curious when that email from DS to Brandi was first made public? I was fairly active on 2p2 during that whole ordeal, and I don't remember ever seeing that email.
Man, Sklansky is an awful writer.

when i was reading the email the other day it seemed very familiar like i had read it before but maybe im imagining that, but isn't/wasn't there a thread about it all with the d1ldo in the glove box ?
or maybe im imaging that too 😃

It's possible that the DS email came out years ago and I just forgot about it.
Glove box pickle definitely was a talked about thing. Then, with Cap't Tom, there was "huggling" and "p-n-s on back" that I recall. Also recall a Full Tilt Poker nipple pastie pic.
that email has definitely been posted on these forums and widely discussed many, many years ago.
I didn't see the email, but was able to read between the lines. Would ask the mods to lock up this thread! Obv will be gathered no new knowledge, but as none of the involved wants to step forward for further explanation, case closed, I'd say. Takeaway for me, DS is noone I'd drink a beer with. And I'm off for today ;-)
