Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream

I wish there was a Josh Allen documentary on Netflix.

Spoiler
Show

Maybe there will be one if he ever wins the Super Bowl.

I literally can't wait to see this.
The Martian is one of my favorite books/movies of all time
Andy Weir 4lyfe

Read the book! It's a really fast read and I feel like part of the fun (or disappointment) of adaptations is seeing if the filmmakers interpretation of the source material is anywhere close to your own.

Fwiw - the only movie that really nailed it for me was Sphere way, WAY back in the day.

A new show from the makers of Jury Duty which was great.

Or if his 23 year-old clone wins one this Sunday. 😉

Awesome!

Awesome!

LOL....reimagined. Because there is no imagination anymore, otherwise, we wouldn't have the constant stream of superhero movies.

Cape Fear has already been done two times. Move on to something else.

Secret Mall Apartment — This documentary tells the remarkable story of a group of artists who built a hidden apartment inside a Rhode Island mall and went undetected for years.

I have no idea how I landed on this but it was interesting. Still crazy how they moved furniture into the space. Anyone else see this?

I also thought it was interesting. A friend said he heard about this before, but I never had.

I know why the mall banned the guy, but it was a lot of free publicity for them.

And yes, it was crazy how they moved in furniture and built a cinder block wall and installed a door.

Just hit the halfway point of The Lincoln Lawyer season 4. It's on par with the other seasons, but with a pretty wicked main case for the season. Far too much filler, as expected, but they keep adding to the shitstorm so I want to finish it as fast as possible, lol. I think it's the only Netflix I've done that with in quite some time.

Is LL worth a watch? I'm not expecting great, but a cut above Rizzoli and Isles.

I've enjoyed the first 3 seasons of LL. 4 is on my list. It's nothing to write home about but watchable. Like DC said, there is a lot of filler, but the story moves along and the plot is mostly reasonable.

Prodigal Son and Found were two shows recently added to Netflix that I watched and enjoyed. Both are 2 seasons but 30+ episodes total.

Prodigal Son got cancelled after 1 season. It was average anyway.

Found is trash.

Lincoln Lawyer is a decent watch.

I never watched Rizzoli and Isles but I see it popped up on Netflix but I am working some re-watches on Netflix way before I consider that one.

Southland is a great re-watch.
Working The Following and Homeland also.

And catching up on the latest season of The Night Agent before the new season drops in 2 weeks.

Prodigal Son was 2 seasons. I'm not saying that show or Found were award worthy, but I thought both were decent and easy watches if you're looking for something.

I didn't realize a new season of The Night Agent was coming. I liked the first 2.

Southland is a great re-watch.

I just finished episode 1. I assume it's a great series? I've seen clips on YT that I thought were fantastic.

Yea, loving it, I'm early in season 4, which added Lucy Liu and Lou Diamond Phillips, lots of stars throughout, Regina King, C. Thomas Howell, Shawn Hatosy, Tom Everett Scott and the 2 main cops are great also.

Yea that first episode with a great line, cops pull over punk rich kid in his car and he jumps out screaming do you know who my father is? and cop says didn't your mother tell you? lol

I watched the first season of The Following and thought it had a lot of promise. Didn't it get canceled without being allowed to "end" the show? **** that.

Wow, I didn't know that as I watched it off and on when it aired. Grok confirmed people were disappointed. lol

Was that the Kevin Bacon show? That show was absolutely batshit in the worst of ways lol

Back when the AVClub was good, there was a reviewer who got stuck with that beat and slowly lost her mind. She stopped with F grades and started reviewing them as A grades. Some of the best stuff from that site in its heyday.

Continuing on with my nuclear bomb movies, I came across Miracle Mile. Crazy. Very different. I liked it. Kind of like Pulp Fiction meets nuclear attack. One of the most original ones yet.

I just read that it was apparently a legendary script around Hollywood, balked several times before finally getting made by less established players.

Yeah that's a really cool movie.

Been so long since I've see it that I was sure it was Matthew Modine in the lead role but it's Anthony Edwards, huh.

It would be hilarious (imo) if they just kept fooling Ronald from Season 1 over and over and over for multiple seasons using different gimmicks

lol that could work. The inventor guy with the chair pants had a good cameo on Loot this season. Not sure I would recommend that show but it’s a decent, light time killer.

Starstruck is quite strong. The lead is very funny, good writing, + a proper plot. Reminds me of Fleabag.

I never watched Oz back in the day. I know it was great in it's time. Is there any chance it's worth watching now? I started it last night, but fell asleep halfway through the first episode, now in the cold light of day, I'm wondering if it's even worth watching.
