That candy business still didn't make any sense. They were touting all these sales from the farmer's markets before they leased the commercial kitchen. Then they were selling out everyday and hitting new sales records.

When the swamp cooler incident hit during the summer and Trooper finally gave up fighting it, they sure closed up shop real quick and attempted to sell the over $50k in brand new kitchen equipment and never mentioned it again.

If the sales were that good and the only issue with their current kitchen location was the swamp cooler, why didn't they just move into another kitchen? There's quite a few set ups and ready to go around town.

And they sure got over losing out on over $50k in equipment and inventory without a peep and just like a shrug of the shoulders. I know everyone thought they maxed out their credit cards to finance it but I'm not sure. I'm guessing Trooper's mom financed it. It definitely wasn't their money or financing.

If they both worked 40 hours a week at Taco Bell it would have given them a lot more money and more free time (or if he worked as a server or dealer again while she worked at Taco Bell).

They both made it sound like they worked 16 hours a day and 7 days a week with the candy business. If you’re going to do that, might as well just get a job and work as much OT as you can, or work 2 jobs.

But LT wouldn’t want that and he wouldn’t be able to sell her on the idea that this time, they will make it and all their dreams will come true.

Imagine a normal person making their first few hundred dollars at their job, and deciding: I deserve a week off!

The Trooper Taco Bell tracker would be interesting. I think if you add up his meager poker earnings, youtube, go gamble hats, peddling candy and Westgate/Trooper Thursday he might have slightly outpaced minimum wage.

Trooper would have earned 2-3x more as a server at Olive Garden or if he remained a poker dealer, 100% certain.

It would make sense. Reminds me of Trooper having a backer to help him with one of his previous plans when he was going to try and make it big and just needed some money to help him.

This time the family member would be the backer, and Trooper convinced that person he was going to do really well if he just got some financial help.
