Got a quick trip to LV planned with my gluten intolerant daughter. Looking for any recommendations for a gluten aware casual restaurant near strip, Arts District, downtown or Chinatown. She will probably be doing her own research (self-preservation FTW) but I'll happily take any local knowledge that may be available. She likes Thai, Chinese, sushi, steak, etc Used to love p

I questioned responding to this as my pasta answer is not off strip. While I haven't been to the Vegas location, I have been to other Carmine's and the GF pasta is not bad.

Maybe I should have specified "on or near Strip"?

We're staying at the ParkMGM in a couple of weeks, one night. I wonder if Eataly has any GF options?

Carmine's NYC might just do it, actually.

You mentioned near strip, but also mentioned locals, so I assumed maybe not leaning towards a strip restaurant. I will ask the girl friend if she has any other recommendations as I really don't keep track of these things. I will say that Milk Bar at Cosmo has some GF options if she wants something sweet.

EDIT: Yardbird for GF chicken and waffles!

EDITx2: The girlfriend said Scarpetta for GF pasta. I think they have it, but I have never been (not even in the Philly location). Maybe a better idea vs family style Carmine's. She also said that Eggslut has GF options, but the bread is not very good (at least compared to their brioche).

Btw locals, if you aren’t grabbing lunch at cured and whey a couple times a month you are severely missing out, best sandwiches in Vegas by miles. I always leave with about a pound of soppressata for the week as well.

DoorDash from Pan Asian. Super solid, I tried two of the Sri Lankan dishes but most of the menu is Thai.

Deviled chicken - 8.5/10, kind of like a spicy fried chicken dish

Kottu with chicken - 9.5/10, similar to pad thai but with chopped up pieces of roti instead of noodles. Came with a side of curry to mix in, picture is without the curry. This was awesome and enough for at least two meals

JalapeΓ±o jamburger from turkey and the wolf - 9/10 great smashburger

Howlin rays - 10/10, simply the best tenders anywhere

New spot Smoked Stupid is a must try. Located behind Scores strip club (yes really)

Medium wings ($12 for 6) - 10/10

Best in Vegas? Smoked and flash fried, also available grilled so I’ll have to try that next time. The smoke flavor comes through.

Chicago beef dip sandwich ($18) - 9.5/10. Either best in Vegas or second best after Windy City. Meat quality is a step above Windy City, super tender. The crispy cheese on top is a nice touch and the au jus was perfect.

Think the fries were $2 extra, hand cut and super fresh.

Everything was top tier, very highly recommend. Open until midnight and I think 2am on weekends

For the more boring folks like me wanting healthy late night options Subway at the upstairs area near the linq outside seems to be 24h if I saw that correctly and they have these new 20g protein subs for $3.99 that were better than expected.

For the more boring folks like me wanting the occasional healthy-ish late night meal Subway at the upstairs area near the linq outside seems to be 24h if I saw that correctly. They have these new 20g protein subs for $3.99 that were better than expected. Good value

I like cheap fast food as much as anybody, but if you are looking for healthy-ish, you might go online and check the sodium content of various subways -- just to see if it is something you can live with.

I went to true food kitchen. I would not recommend. Concept sounds good, the wait staff was excellent, but the food itself was disappointing. The food just lacked flavor overall. My partner did like her spicy pineapple marg ($15). My drink ,common bond ($15) was not memorable at all.

Ancient grains bowl with chicken ($25)

Market salad with chicken ($24)

Edamame Dumplings ($15)

Fries ($6)- Sad, mushy, air fried fries.

Those have to be the worst fries I’ve ever seen

I went to True Food Kitchen once and wouldn’t go back. Everything was bland and not worth the price. 3/10

would anyone happen to have a list of Caesers properties on the strip that accept reward credits 1:1 and take the $25 drink vouchers?

if a one line AI search doesn't have the answer to this then something is very wrong

They do seem to go out of their way to hide it. I can’t really imagine having a better use for the drink tickets than at the montecristo lounge at Caesar’s, they have the best old fashioned in Vegas. Lugers has a great black cherry margarita. A few times I have used my drink tickets and paid 20 bucks for a bottle of caymus at Harrahs lounge. Glass bar at PH is also a good use of drink tickets.

it doesn’t but i think that’s more a function of the information not being readily available for a lot of places than a AI flaw

something is definitely very wrong though for their not to be an official up to date list on this! (afaik I’d absolutely be thrilled to be wrong given how often I use them and for pricey drinks too)

lol i meant to quote balbombs post

Did Jipata. Tacos were meh. Pad see ew was very good, wings were good, Kung pao brisket was great, and this sweet corn appetizer was excellent. Liked atmosphere a lot too. Will go back, probably still prefer Lamaii.

Corned beef and brisket hash at Smokey Joe’s Cafe inside Sam's Town was quite good.

hash is one of my favorites and if those two yolks are as runny as they look i'm all over that with a side of rye toast

That looks like some quality hash

Another trip to Smoked Stupid, a food trailer located behind Scores. Wings and brisket 10/10, got the brisket on top of the beans. Go try it now, the food is great.

Winnie & Ethel's has a new menu, and it is spectacular. I've been three times in the last week.
Maybe the best pancakes I've ever had...and the new truffle patty melt is incredible. This video reviewed it and does a much better job than I could:
