And if people walk away from her testimony talking about how she accused a holocaust survivor of being anti-Semitic then mission accomplished for her. Because that is completely immaterial. She is thrilled to trade “looking bad on msnbc” for “people being distracted from Epstein”.
Furthermore it’s clear that congressional democrats have no interest in actually seeking justice here. Because they played right into the hands of the GOP. Then this into a partisan issue by attacking the GOP administration so they can scream things like “trump derangement syndrome”. If you really wanted justice and you were a democrat the move would be to call the highest ranking dem that was at the DOJ under Biden and absolutely crucify them for having these emails etc for four years and doing nothing. Being fully, actively complicit in a cover up.
If you did that it would not allow congressional republicans or subsequent republican witnesses to claim a politically motived investigation.
But obviously congressional democrats are playing it this way intentionally.

I know what you mean. Pound the facts unless the facts are against you then pound the table. But I watched Scott Bessent testify for a few minutes the other day and they were asking him if he would sign a ten billion dollar check to pay off Trump's ridiculous lawsuit and the guy was like sure, idgaf. Of course I would. That is the job. Completely calm, there's no scandal here. Why are we even having this meeting, it could have been an email. And no reporting on it.
