New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.
In
Valentines day at The Hat! Pastrami Dip, Onion Rings and Potato salad. Reminds me of a West coast Katz Deli.

That bag in the top right is full of them.
I'm not going to say I scraped the bowl clean of chez sauce with the last 1/4 of the burger, but I'm not not saying I did that, either.
In the Top 5 Portillo's options, I would have to include the Beef n Sausage combo, which could eliminate either or both the beef or sausage entries, opening up other options. Lots of Top 5 worthy choices IMO.
That burger was damned good. The $9.99 (prices may vary by location) Big Burger combo is a steal.
This talk of Portillo's made me curious, so I went to their locations on the website.
Sadly, none near me (it did not define "near").
I found it interesting the map started with a center just north of Samoa.

Same, a couple of weeks ago. Now this morning I wake up to a free chicken biscuit, wheee! My local CFA has been taken over by corporate, so hopefully they'll be much improved vs the last time I went months ago.

As previously mentioned, the Italian Beef Combo with Sausage is the go to at Portillo's. As for The Hat, obviously the Pastrami Dip with Onion Rings is the GOAT call. BTW, 2 OR's is approximately 1/10 of an order. 😂 Wish these were closer to San Diego. I never get up there unless I'm going to a Ducks or Angels game.

😂The last time I went to Hash House was in Vegas years ago. Spaghetti Factory used to be an occasional visit (the wife is a fan) but it's been a while. Never been to California Fish Grill (I'll have to check it out). Big fan of Rubios. I have a gift card that I was told to use ASAP because they're closing a bunch of locations. The original spot in Pacific Beach closed after 45+ years.

Wondering where people are going for their FF Fish Specials tomorrow (Ash Wednesday)?
I can take the easy way (one mile) and go to McD's for the 2 for $6 Filet of Fish,
or go the long way (15 miles) and go to Arby's for the "2 for $6.99" Mix 'n Match deal of a Crispy Fish or Fish 'N Cheddar paired with a Jamocha Shake.
Haven't seen what Burger King or Wendy's fish offering is yet.
