Eggs Benedict on panfried English muffins... but the hollandaise has south asian spices (think hollandaise and curry had a love child).

Within ear shot, Chinese, English, Japanese, and Italian were spoken. Nobody cared.

Do you have a child palette across the board or only with hot dogs? Does your mommy poke the hole in your capri sun to go with that?

I never outgrew my child palette.

I still eat Spaghetti-O's.

Maybe I should be blaming my brain-rot on my diet instead of Big-Pharma.

While research on nutrition tends to shift a lot, I think the best supported consensus as per today is that good food for the brain is fat fish, most types of nuts and berries rich in antioxidants. On the other end of the scale is quick carbs which spikes blood sugar levels, though I don't know if the consensus would say that is damaging per se, but rather that there are better options.

But nutrition is a tough subject to research, because so many variables are entangled. Which is roundabout way of saying that people who eat what we think of as healthy often tend to live healthier in other aspects of their lives, and vice versa. So there are a lot paradigms that quickly get replaced. I remember when eggs where the nutritional devil, and now it is close to being regarded as a superfood.

Money also plays a role. It is interesting to see how a foods which become become a staple of healthy diet tends to rocket upwards in price as decades pass. I don't think it is only a matter of demand and supply either. Food habits have shifted, so that among the middle-class and the wealthy it is now in vogue to eat healthy, as opposed to "living well" which was more the norm if you go back 5-6 decades. I suspect this drives prices on foods seen as healthy, simply because you can drive prices.

Delicious dinner. Chinese, Spanish, and English were spoken. My waiter was French.
