Certainly makes sense. Analytics show 5-7 minutes is the correct range for down 2, so it wouldn't surprise me to learn that being more aggressive than that is necessary when down 3. Situational, as most things are, of course.
Probably another 30-60 mins for trades to roll in, but wow what a quiet deadline. Let's hope some last min blockbusters were filed on time.

Just did a quick search for best/worst farm systems in the NHL. At or near the bottom of every list. Sorry Phil. I'll stop twisting the knife after you've already been stabbed.
hehe, I am already rock bottom, but yes, mostly, it is slim, but we have a few promising ones in the AHL, which are probably on their way up, I guess now with the fire sale and rebuild.
Good thing is spring is opened up as no playoffs so more time! Without sounding like Matthews or Nylander or few others who are joyful they can go to their mansions and cottages.
