Favorite Stand Up Comics
I couldn't find another thread about just stand up comedy, if it should be moved, so be it.
Just wanted to see who everyo
Myself, being Christopher Mintz-Plasse, have outsmarted every comedian I saw doing stand-up.
Do any of you guys think you outsmarted one of your favorite comedians at a live comedy show?
I have not, but one of my favorite live comedy shows was George Wallace playing the dozens with the audience. There was one guy who went head-to-head with him for several minutes. He had Wallace doubled over with laughter. He even took out a pen and paper (this was quite a few years ago) and wrote down some of the guy's lines to use in his future shows.
Does knowing what most of the punchlines from all of the hack comics out there way before they get there count?
This aged well:
true satire never rots
Mark Normand's None Too Pleased out on Netflix.
B rating for me, enjoyable but nothing special. I'm a big fan of his, but find him much funnier when he's more natural and off-the-cuff, rather than a straight hour of his jokes.

I feel the same way but he's definitely improving his standup, I thought this was a good step forward from his last special
I thought it was great. I laughed aloud several times and I rarely do that when watching a special.
I'm watching a lot of old Mitch Hedberg on youtube. Funny as it gets.
Enjoyed this a lot
We saw Jim Jefferies tonight at the Keswick. Very good. He did a full 2 hours and his headliner did 30 minutes.
You mean his opener right?
I like Amos, not seen his comedy, but he's the co-host of Jim's current podcast.
About 4 years ago saw Seinfeld at Winstar. His opener was a guy who I had seen at least 30 years ago, and he was doing some of the same material.
Going to see Nate Bargatze tonight. Sis in law sent me tix for Xmas. Expecting some decent laughs, will report back
nice, i like him
saw chris barnes a few weeks back, one of the best shows i've been to, someone to look out for
We passed on Nate, it was raining and windy and the only umbrella I had wouldn't be allowed in, and didn't want to exit afterwards without one.
I know, weak.
Nate also reuses a lot of material.
