[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
Love that they have no rakeback, shitty software, no notes?!!! and pay to think functionality. That is the absolute nut low resulting in pre UIGEA gaming in 2026
Rakeback would be horrible. Do you really think it's just gonna add to your win rate with no change to game quality? If anything, they should add MORE rake for anyone with a VPIP < 20 (call it a nit tax). Every % your VPIP is below 20 your personal rake cap should be + 1bb. I'm sure Chuck Anderson alone would rake thousands extra per month. And then they should use that extra money to invest in advertising or give back to the players via chip dumps where anyone with a VPIP < 20 gets progressively lower odds to get a box.
Rakeback is only one factor that ruins other sites.
WPT has other things going for it:
4 table limits
Geographic Restrictions (it's USA and Canada right?)
Deposit limits that are pretty low - 6K - Is that correct? So people won't lose all their money too fast.
NO high stakes games to bleed out the player pool super fast.
High level trusted brand - Backed by the WPT
I don't if rake back would be as a big of deal as some people think on the games or not.
Do most people thing WPT gold is doing a much better job than GG Poker?
I do
Do you find this to still be the case even after Canada has been included in the player pool? I've noticed a huge increase in players since then, when they started a huge online marketing presence(they advertise huge on all the porn sites my friend visits...), and with these "chip dump" promos and this million dollar guarantee tournament. A lot of players out there can casually
Since last fall. When I was checking it out even in November you could just scroll and scroll through a hundred or so table options. Like 200+. That's pretty high for a US player pool. They have been advertising hard for at least a year before than but that still is pretty nuts. It's gone down significantly since I checked around last month but its still pretty busy. Which I guess is a good thing. Could have been a software issue last year but it was like a sea of tables which I found a little hard to buy

Is it your first withdrawal?
I requested a redemption on Sunday night and it’s already been processed.
For me the form was buried in the redemption request confirmation thread, but also asking them for it will do the trick. Once submitted theyre fairly quick.
That being said its been over 48hrs since I requested mid 4 fig cashout, usually its completed by now.

Thanks. I have emailed support 3 times in the last week and they have not responded. Is anyone getting faster response times?

Had to send in a W-9 and re-verify my account this week and all in all took like 3 days from first email to done.
Is there a way to download HHs to import into PT/HM?
Cash out still pending from end of Feb.
My mom plays penny tables and her account got banned and they have not sent a e-mail explaining why for I think 2 weeks now. :(
I hope this site adds better forms of customer support. I think the law in Canada is that you need to have at least another method besides email to be able to contact support and they only have email.
kind of unfortunate because the site itself is good.

Anything that encourages grinding, especially high volume grinding with tiered rakeback programs, is gonna draw more regs from competitor sites which will not only be bad for your win rate but also the site long term.
At least in MTTs, drawing some more regs from competitor sites can be a positive change. The MTT ecosystem here might be a combination of what I call "too soft and too big" meaning the good regs can have astronomically high "true winrates" while also incurring astronomical variance from fish calling off in the most ridiculous spots.
This is an application of what we call the bias-variance tradeoff in Statistics. If we replace some of the current crackhead fish pool with competent/tighter regs, the "true winrate" may go down but more pots can be won without showdowns, which is central to professional success. The key is winrate and variance are different concepts.
Is there anyway to get unbanned/unrestricted via this forum? A few months ago I tilted off like half my bankroll. I emailed support about account restriction for 30 days. But unknowingly I self banned myself forever it seems. I've emailed support a few times and they won't budge on account reinstatement as it's under the responsible gaming terms.
Any help? Would a second account be inevitable doom when it comes to verification or cash outs?
I think you are better off just emailing them and asking but I think support went on a hiatius.
Anyone been having any success with cashing out or reaching support since March 1st?
And I am kind of doubting it but does this thread have anyone who actually works at support or someone who can direct me to one?
(actually have a urgent issue and not just a delayed cash out)

Looks like the Big Adventures tournament is finally wrapping up. From what I understand the grand prize winner will be randomly selected from the Top 100 players during a live stream.
That Maldives trip is a pretty big reward. Iβm curious to see who ends up winning it.

The Non-Analytical Factor: "The $8 Million Portfolio"
I recently established contact with a new source – a data analyst working for one of the risk assessment firms in the betting industry, whom I connected with through a mutual acquaintance. He revealed something that in betting circles is called a "quiet signal."
Over the last 48 hours, a series of unusually large bets on the over 135.5 have appeared in the Nevada and New Jersey markets. We're talking $200,000 to $300,000 each, placed by several entities linked by IP addresses and bank accounts. In total – nearly $8 million on the over.
The Players Behind the Money
Who's behind it? The trail leads to a hedge fund called Black Square Capital, based in New York. It's a small but incredibly effective fund run by three former McNeese students:
Marcus Webb (class of 2012, now managing partner)
David Kao (data analyst, class of 2014)
Chris Lowell (trader, class of 2013)
These three men have been quietly supporting the McNeese basketball program for years – off the books, of course.

That's one way to cause issues.
Allowing Euros or 8 or 12 tabling is another way to mess up the games
