It seems likely that Israel's objectives for the Iran war are different than the U.S.'s current (and ever shifting) objectives. In a more general sense I think it is now or never for civilization itself. With demographic changes, most of the population of the world is going to be from the global south, which is increasingly becoming sectarian and violent. I just dont see how civilization survives this.
I really dont get what Chinese leaders are doing in so many of their actions, such as propping up Kim in NK, Putin and the IRGC (as just 3 examples). They are encouraging as much chaos and dysfunction in the world as they can in their quest for dominance. But they dont seem to be directing things towards a world anyone, including them, would even want to dominate.
What do Chinese leaders think the world is going to look like in 50-100 years the way they are pushing things?
