3v3 Codenames

Beethoven's 2nd was a sequel to Beethoven.

All I know is it's about a big dog (like a Great Dane or some ****).

Only dog word I see is litter, but it would be wild do clue for 1 with that and not do 101 Dalmatians.

Everything else seems objectively worse though.

Oh ****, I forgot about those movies - I assumed it was the 2nd symphony.

I think Beethoven was a St Bernard? Could the movie be about him having puppies? Which would make litter make sense, and maybe there's some blocker we're not seeing for 101 Dalmations?

I dunno, I expect there's some obvious word on there that we aren't seeing because we don't know the movie.

I'd be fine with Litter or Giant, but if I were picking I'd go with litter

Could be St Bernard. It was definitely something really big. Possible it's about puppies. I really don't like Giant here (this can't be the best movie for that), but I've got nothing else besides kid.

I almost want to permanently rule out kid and especially giant if litter is correct here because those could have been looped in with this film.

King Ralph - 3

I saw this once or twice when it came out, which I’m quite sure was >30 years ago.

I don’t really remember much beyond the royal family getting wiped out by electrocution during a family photo and Ralph slicing someone’s ear while knighting them.

I think he was a musician maybe? I seem to remember music segments, so would be okay with concert.

Court makes sense for the royal thing.

Fine with moving track up if we’re thinking no unlimited was just to avoid staff, which we failed on. We still need probably three for Capt. P, and I have no idea which three, and we’re running short on turns.

My theory is captain was ship+point for the meme plus one other

So just need one for captain p which could be track

Would like to have a backup to track for captain, but not sure we had any other ideas

Maybe grace for backup for king Ralph as in your Grace?

Engine or giant for Captain P, but just bc large container ship with engine to move it, so kinda weak

Captain Phillips was intended to be Ship/Point/Engine. Ship has an engine failure, Pirates hijack and say I'm the captain now.

You got Ralph. I considered doing Ralph for 4 and bringing in Grace.

That first clue just didn't land and that threw us off all game.

I wasn't sure what to clue when we have 3 left and both words on the list were correct. I settled on Dědeček automobil - 2 hoping you'd do grace/engine/Czech but I don't think the meta covers this.

We had said if track was wrong then do engine, so engine was top of list

Can do 2 clue for grace+czech
