USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
I didn't know that a necessary pre-condition for being charged with a war crime is that you have to publicly announce your intention to commit an atrocity in advance of committing the act. You have a cite for that?
What, provide a cite for a claim I never made, that you just made up and attributed to me? I'll pass.
Me: Because the professional hitman wasn't stupid enough to brag about a murder he was about to commit to everyone in the bar?
You: I didn't know that a necessary pre-condition for being charged with murder is that you have to publicly announce your intention... cite?
Here's what he said:We don't need to be briefed on any specific plan. We know most of the Iranians' water supply is reliant on electricity for pumps along with sewage and then obviously refrigeration for food. And we also know that humans can survive about 3 days without water and 7 days without food.So we're looking at millions and millions of Iranians dying within a week
wat???
The ol' TnT! Tenor and Tone, that's what Donnie really cares about. Gotta kiss the ring and appease his ego. Very normal and good traits you want in a leader.
Who the hell is this please?
And who is this tenor?
I am not a native english speaker, so I would appreciate if someone can explain to me if it is fine to use WITCH instead of WHICH, or if this is a deliberate reference to witches that only you guys can understand, or if this is just lack of professionalism and a display of carelessness.
It’s illiteracy plus senility.

Trump in a nutshell.
I wrote somewhere that if Progressives in Congress started telling Trump what a smart, swell guy he is Trump would support MFA and UBI.
right but why would Progressives in Congress want Trump to support something they themselves oppose?
anyway, Iran better not taco on this. boom boom Tel Aviv pls.

its fine because it doesn't matter a jot. the meening is cleer
Those who get distracted by it are playing themselves. The very important bit is whether trump just backed down or there have in fact been productive talks - Iran denies there have been
Donald Trump says the US and Iran have held talks on the "complete and total resolution of hostilities" in the Middle East
He says that, as a result of the talks, he has postponed threatened strikes on Iranian power plants - oil and gas prices fall immediately
However, Iran's foreign ministry denies such talks have taken place, according to the BBC's US partner CBS
Sounds like Iran called his bluff but who knows, maybe he's hallucinating.
They just say **** to manipulate the markets for insider trading opportunities.

It's always projection exhibit *infinity.
I believe you to be the most bloodthirsty person in this forum (since lucy is banned).
You just love death and the spectacle.
You cover this with endless layers of fake morale outrage.

I don't know if the IRGC hardliners want to stop. My understanding is it doesn't take very long to spin their already enriched uranium up to weapons grade and they've just shown the world their long range missile capability. So who knows if they are near having a warhead.

after watching the Israelis slaughter people with immense glee for 3 years, yes I want that country destroyed and I will readily admit it. Iran needs to teach them a lesson for all of humanity.
I get that your Supremacy makes you think that the hundreds of thousands slaughtered in the name of Israel dont matter. and that they arent real people. and you would fully support Israel continuing its genocidal practices throughout the rest of the Middle East. but I consider the Arabs and Persians actually real people

Well at least he comes out and says it. Meanwhile Trump just threatened to kill untold millions of Iranians by taking out their grid, and I haven't seen any pro Trump posters on this board willing to say that's unacceptable.
But they deserve it because they work really hard or something.

I have grunched the last couple days of this thread because of life and following college BB, but who are all these pro Trump posters you are referring to? Is there a single active poster in this thread (other than Elway) who you would characterize as a Trump poster who say Trump's rhetoric is acceptable? Seems like you are tilting at windmills here.
I am suspicious of people who claim there is a method behind the madness, but Trump says a lot of wild ****, doesn't follow through with most of it, but follows through with just enough of it that you are never quite sure what is going to happen. It is unsettling; but if we are unsettled imagine how his adversaries feel.
Also, I think you guys are getting played by Western anti-Trump, pro Russia and pro IRGC propaganda (a lot of overlap here). There clearly wasn't a coherent plan, but this was isn't the disaster for the US (or the world) that you guys are making it out to be.
Only like 30% of fossil fuels come from the GCC. This isn't great, but it isn't the end of the world either. Believe it or not, this war has been much worse for the IRGC. Which is a good thing. They are the ones getting completely dismantled piece by piece.
An actual benefit of this excursion is that it is forcing us to learn how to fight modern wars. Prior to the war, a lot of military commentators were actually saying that we were not sufficiently prepared for it, because we hadn't adopted our military strategy to fight modern drone/anti-drone wars. And that has shown itself to be the case. But sometimes you have to learn things the hard way; and hopefully this is the needed wake up call to modernize our military. Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say.
This episode hopefully has also shown the world just how completely unacceptable the IRGC is. And they wont be so complacent moving forward.
Also, I think this will actually be a wake up call to the world. For the last 20 years or so, the rest of the world has decided to "go green" by withholding fossil fuel operations domestically, while half-heartedly pursuing other energy sources. All the while becoming more and more reliant on global bad actors for fossil fuels.
First off, this should be a wake up call to be more serious about developing real alternatives to fossil fuels.
Also, hopefully the rest of the world gets more serious about pursuing fossil fuels in other places that are more stable politically, while we are still reliant on fossil fuels. Places like Canada, Venezuela and the North Sea actually have a lot of untapped fossil fuel potential; that has been neglected for political reasons.
