I guess the only other thing to consider is if ice was a rusted word and our list word is related to spice. I'm meh on ice for rusted, but I really don't see another spice.

Red winning in 3 is the fundamental 'balance' issue in this game, but I'm not sure how to address that. Make the teams 10/8 instead of 9/8?

also made sense why you didn't guess copper first but that would have been an absolute beating of a fun fact, sometimes tricky when your team is too smart!
i definitely had no idea about that but i think we can file away "copper does not rust, it oxidizes!" along with only plants have cell walls
I’m not sure that red wins a ton more than blue; doesn’t seem like it needs rebalancing

Sugar cane is used in alcohol, so I kinda like it even though I think it could be missed. Crystal is more of a 2-step connection.
But if you both prefer crystal I won't fight it.
