Jays pitching has 35 k's through 2 games (20 innings)

BRAVES with the walk off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th!

JAYS X3!

CB Bucknor getting his **** absolutely pushed in by ABS is the funniest **** I’ll see in a while

And the Dodgers ruined it. I welcome the 2027 lockout

Pirates kind of ruining it in another way by squandering their talent. Pitchers had 36 strikeouts in 3 games, but only won one. It was against a Wild Card ceiling Mets, so it's hard to tell what is really happening.

No salary floor hurting baseball FAR more than no salary cap

Yes it’s annoying that the Doyers will win 110 games every year but that gives them zero guarantee of winning the World Series

Meanwhile teams like the pirates are allowed to squander one of the 5 best pitchers alive because reasons

Agree with the need for a floor more than an absolute cap

problem with most floors is that once they are in, the players union is able to bump it up every time there's a negotiation

i love it and think there should be one, but i get why ownership, even those spending far more than any proposed floor would be against the notion of including one

Yep the non-spenders would no doubt have to reveal their actual financials with a floor in place

50 strikeouts in 3 games possibly a double-edged sword healthwise with 159+ more to go.

I mean, ya, you aren’t wrong. But I think teams like the pirates, marlins and A’s are FAR worse for baseball than the Doyers are

There’s no acceptable reason to be allowed to own a team if all you’re going to do is collect revenue sharing and fake cry poor

The marlins and pirates especially got their new stadiums paid for by taxpayers and chose to do with this windfall **** all

Justin Verlander returns home (in Arizona) tonight!!

Tyler Heineman pitching for the Jays and this is embarrassing for baseball. Throwing 45 mph home run derby pitches.

I think every team should have to have one pitcher on the roster (a special extra roster spot) called "garbage man". This is a pitcher on a minimum contract that's only allowed to pitch in games of an 8 run lead or more. Then at least teams could have some AA level pitcher whose just happy to throw some innings and be at the show, and maybe has the dream of impressing someone while he's there. Some guy who probably doesn't have much of a future anyways. Typically the team would choose some guy who is a good clubhouse guy and maybe has some other worthy attributes. Maybe some local hometown hero. Anything is better than a guy who is literally throwing soft on purpose because it isn't worth risking an arm injury for him to throw anything resembling a real pitch.

Give a link. To the numbers

The guy that volunteers to come in is a guy showing off his off his movement and knuckle.

Verlander roughed up. Hopefully Scherzer can do better tomorrow.

Jays had 10 k's through 7 before Heineman came in throwing slow pitch. That's 60 through 4 games for Jays pitching.

The Ponce injury sucks. He was throwing some good stuff. He did a weird trip and roll on a pitch. Something was wrong there already. Bieber, Yesavage and Berrios all coming back soon though so someone had to drop out as it was.

3 leg Dinger Parlay:

Jake Burger
Ronald AcuΓ±a Jr.
Yordan Alvarez

Earlier on FD was +9125 boosted 50% to +13687

Looks like Ohtani is done. He's lost all his power.

Nah homie. Shohei is THE GOAT. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow he has lunch with Kobe, MJ, and Tiger.

2024 Shohei decided to steal 50 bases for fun.
2026 Shohei has decided he wants the Cy Young.

Jose Fernandez(the Diamondbacks version) may be the greatest baseball player ever.

I reserve the right to change my mind after his second game.

What, is he off the steroids now?

He was crushing homers in the WBC just 2 weeks ago. He'll be fine.

Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
