LVL Regs WSOP planning & meet up thread

@Mods....if you agree, maybe this might go in the stickys?

Both to manage (and potentially add to) my growing excitement for June and potentially to help with plans to meet...I thought it might be a good idea to create a central place for all LVL regs to share our plans for our WSOP visits this year.

I'm sure many of our dates will intersect and having a central thread with all our plans & dates might make it easier for us to arrange meet ups.

I've met a few of you guys in the past an about a decade ago, we had enough live low stakes regs to form annual drunk 1/1 games which were some of the most fun I've ever had in a casino

that might not be possible, but hopefully we'll have time to meet, chat, imbibe etc.

I'll start

my dates are 10th to 19th June. I'll be staying at the Horseshoe. I'll definitely be playing WSOP Seniors but will also probably play other Seniors events at the other venues that fit my timing, most probably satellites and sit n gos at Hoorseshoe as well as 2/5 an 5/10 holdem

Dates as of 27th April:

Feel Wrath: 10-19 June Horseshoe
TJ Eckleburg: 4-23 June
DogFace: 6th to 14th June
rpPoker: 4-16 June
droopy0021: 14-20 June
Mr Baseball:8/9-24/25 June
TopGun in VA: 6/14-6/26
TonySoprano9 31st May to 13th July
brianr 4th June to mid July
RealMcCoy 6/14-7/3 Horseshoe
prairiebreeze 6/7-6/11 prairiebreeze TR
Big Whale: June 6-15, Vdara
VincentVega: June 5th-13th, Horseshoe
that_pope: June 6-11th, Vdara

I’m looking at June 4 - June 23.

This thread is a great idea! Can’t wait to see everybody.

I have a habit of tinkering with my summer plans, but 6/14-6/22 is the current booking and I don't think I'll change it this time around.

I will be at the WSOP June 4-16. I'm looking forward to meeting up with a bunch of you.

6/14 - 6/20 is the plan

Haven't locked anything in yet but looking at June 8th or 9th to June 24/25 timeframe. 2 full weeks and maybe a day. Longest LV trip ever was 8 days (last WSOP) so I still may cut it little shorter. Will figure it out soon. But I am really looking forward to it.

I can help with getting a lowstakes mix game set up on or off the strip (easier to do off the strip). Just need a date range and if I'm not busy I will play.

A bunch of dealers used to get a low stakes mixed going at the Orleans. Don't know if they still do.

I'll start this as an index. Not sure if possible, but it would be great to get it in the OP so it's easiest to add others to it when they confirm ates

Feel Wrath: 10-19 June Horseshoe
TJ Eckleburg: 4-23 June
DogFace: 14-22 June
rpPoker: 4-16 June
droopy0021: 14-20 June
Mr Baseball:8/9-24/25 June

And....just like that I get word today that my summer window will be opening a week earlier than expected, putting all the dates from 6/6-6/14 in play.

I think I actually like the options in the later window better, but now we will see if impatience wins the battle vs. restraint.

😃

Is there a support group for compulsive booking changers?

I am now in for 6/06-6/14, with 6/15-6/22 as an unlikely flex option if I am running like 2006 Jamie Gold.

July 3 - July 8 but will extend as I run mega deep in Main Event.

I have solidfied my plans and will be there from June 8 to June 22. Will be staying at TI.

Great spot for playing Wynn and Venetian events. Less so for WSOP events.

Probably only gonna play one Venetian event and zero Wynn. But I like to walk. I walk 9-12 miles every day 365 days a year for over 10 years now. LV is my favorite place to walk so I have no problem walking anywhere even in the summer heat. Venetian is my cash spot and where all my favorite food is at. Basing at that end makes more sense for my tastes.

Sounds like you might like South Point even more!

My plans have solidified into a yay/boo situation. Boo, I won't be able to make it. Yay, I'll be in ****ing Alaska! Thread is stickied now.

I gotta laugh at someone saying some place is too far for mrbaseball.
he could walk to Henderson and make it back in time for lunch

Haven't nailed dates down yet

Will be in for WSOP Senior & Super Senior (old man poker tourneys) with cash planned if I bust, 14-16 June. Friends arrive 20/21 June, so I'm available once (if?) I bust the Senior during the first week.

6/6 is the last Day 1 of the Monster. Late reg is open very late, but the sooner the better.

still waiting for MGM and Golden Nugget schedules and I'm hopeful there may be a Senior's event or two in them for my dates, but this is what the 10 days I'm there currently looks like in terms of day 1s. (probably need to schedule time for suicidal thoughts when I brick all these). I'm not a fan of re-buying for the same flight as I'm rarely in the shape of mind to play properly, but if I do it will be wsop 1b

arrive 10th
11th $250 daily Seniors at Horseshoe - not bracelet
12th $1100 Seniors at Venetian (this is 1b - they are also running this on 11th & 13th with day 2 on 14th)
13th $600 Senior's at Orleans
15th $1k WSOP Seniors at Horseshoe
16th $1k WSOP Seniors at Horseshoe
18th $1100 Seniors at Wynn - I haven't seen if this is a 1 or 2 day tourney - would need to be 1 as I flight out late pm of 19th
19th leave

5.05k at this stage - it's possible I sign up for day 1c at the Venetian instead of the Orleans, as I'm sure it'll be a bigger tourney and the V run them pretty well. There is also a $250 daily at Horseshoe on 18th if I don't fancy the Wynn but again, they run such a great room that it would be good an will be a fun event

I also may play a daily or two and I might jump into some satellites/sit n gos at Horseshoe if they're available an the right buy in level. Sattys are actually the format I've got the best hourly at over my poker journey.

You don't want to play with the young guns? I haven't cemented my schedule yet but likely gonna play that $1100 senior at the Venetian and maybe the $1000 senior WSOP (will miss it if I make final day of Colossus) so I'll probably be there 😀

awesome! would be great to say hi and put a face to a name.

and yep, the reason I think I've survived as a winning poker player over the past 15 years comes down to a lack of bankroll leaks, never playing drunk, high etc and totally turning off my ego when it comes to game selection - I will play 1/2 or 5/10-20 if I think I have an edge but also stand up and quit those games once I feel I don't.

my biggest bankroll leak is MTTs and that's fine, because my entire strategy is based around 're-investing' my cash game winnings into MTT shots. I never have and never will dip into non poker money. so I want to at least make sure I'm playing the weakest fields. the big Seniors fields are way way softer than even the Milly, Monster etc. you still have to run incredibly pure, but it's a slightly less idiotic way of playing the lottery

Most tourneys at Orleans are Seniors events, whether they call them that or not. 😀

If you're searching for Milestone satties, check the next upcoming bracelet events. Chances are the payoff for the satellite matches the entry fee for the upcoming bracelet event.

If you're looking for a semi-quick cash satellite, try the Orleans. Early in the Series they have "bankroll builders" that are a lot like Caesars Milestone satellites.
