I reckon David might just miss out.

Only 1 1st team All Pro (2 2nd Team), weirdly only 1 Pro Bowl.
He didn't make the All Decade team. The 3 MLBs picked ahead of him - Patrick Willis, Luke Keuchly, Bobby Wagner will all make the HoF

I'm sure you will all be excited to know that I am actually working on a current players, HoF predictions post right now

dude was a huge fan growing up in the dfw area. did you happen to hear about him when he was playing in hs?

No, I don't pay attention to HS football. Don't tell anyone here though, they might revoke my citizenship.

wasn't exactly thinking you would, more that sometimes news stories get louder than their usual circle of ears

Lavonte David retiring after 14 years, all with the Buccs.

Is he a Hall of Famer?

He was never the best LB in the league, but I thought he was never worse than top 5 over most of his long career.

Better longevity and a better case than a guy like Kuechly, imo.

Yes, but will have to wait awhile I think.

No, 0% chance. Doubt he ever makes it past the first round of cuts

Friday Night Lights the movie was pretty damn good though.

First few seasons of the tv show was top tier as well. Really great

LOL
When I moved to TX in the mid '80s the golf group I fell in with couldn't quit talking about the new HS stadium that would seat 40,000 and had a waiting list for season tickets. I asked them if they had tickets, and they said they didn't so they just hung out and played gin on Friday nights. "Shoot. I guess I'll just hang out with you guys then." 😃

Did you hear about the dyslexic stripper?

…Her name is Density.

Definitely don't watch any news. Any current events stuff that enters my brain pretty much comes from here, a couple of podcasts, or word of mouth.

Would bet against Lavonte making HOF. Career just doesn't scream Canton.

Ravens should 1,000% trade Lamar
his backup played nearly as good as he did, perfect opportunity to sell high before he starts breaking down

What would you consider selling 'high' consist of ?

Myself I think the selling 'high' ship has sailed.

Any team out there could have had him for 2 first rounders. Or at least offered. None did.

That wasn’t quite the process and I think all teams expected the Ravens to match any offers they signed him to. But yep, 27yo Manning Brady Mahomes etc gets signed to a big offer that the Ravens have to match

Puka to rehab.

Clearly his issues were gonna threaten his deal this offseason. Good business move by him/his agent but if the Rams are smart they’ll wait or put in large caveats into his contract

or perhaps he turns over a new leaf after his rehab, hangs up his cleats, and becomes a man of the cloth

Well…it’s the time of year for miracles, so anything’s possible!

Puka’s mileage may vary, but IME (family members attending), rehab seems to work a lot more like juvey than a hospital. Attendees meet other like minded addicts that they then indulge in further shenanigans with

Yea its like you go to rehab to become a better addict.

Like how prison is criminal education for some people.

* holistic rehab. He's gonna take some kratom and sun his perineum.

Yeah, I went to rehab twice and that's pretty accurate. It does give you a foundation of knowledge for when you're ultimately ready to get serious about quitting.
