It's funny the people dissecting his rant on Easter - he used it to leverage Iran into making a deal. If you're Iran who would you rather deal with - Biden who keeps in line, acts passively, puts zero pressure on you or Trump who's seen as a maniac, can go off the handle at any moment, and has proven he'll be hyper aggressive? The crazy rant worked, they opened the strait - was

I'm quite sure the rest of the world (including Iran) also interpreted Trump's social media posts as reckless bluster.

Would be great to have a president that doesn't require a ****ing decoder ring to understand.

This constantly repeating, "No, no, he didn't mean THAT... he meant THIS" shtick got old ten years ago.

Blaming Trump's behavior on Netanyahu is ridiculous. I'm sure Netanyahu wanted Trump to start a war with Iran. I'm sure he encouraged Trump to start a war with Iran. But Israel has never been in a position to give the United States orders. The Trump administration bears full responsibility for this decision.

It was a tongue-in-cheek response. I would never defend Trump. I do however genuinely believe Netanyahu sold it to him in a ''this will be super easy and over quickly'' manner.

I obviously agree with the rest of your post.

ya it was but unfortunately people dont even know what it means because they drink the coolaid. it does not mean killing every single person in a nuclear strike.

Idk somewhere along the line people started associating genocide=death. Thats not what it means

I dont think we need to play semantic games. I think it is fine to say Trump's rhetoric is not acceptable AND given he was clearly speaking to the IRGC and trying to put pressure on them to come to a deal we shouldn't be overly concerned he was being literal. At least we should not be any more concerned than the IRGC's own language the last 40 years.

Understanding the actual definition of genocide does not make genocide, or threats of genocide, a good idea. The language that Trump chose to use was abhorrent.

Of-course we should be. 1 is supposed to be the ''better'' party with actual capabilities of delivering such devastation, the other not so much.

I obviously don't know what Netanyahu told Trump, but if he suggested to Trump that Iran would go just like Venezuela, then he was lying to Trump. I am 100% positive that Netanyahu understands the internal dynamics of countries in that region of the world too well to ever believe such a thing.

where did you get this horrible number? even isreal has like a 95%+ rate barely anything gets through why do you think us casualties are so low. this "war" probably has a 1000-1 kill ratio. The first part of what you said is true but the later part is crazy. I geuss ill try playing fact checker part 2"Based on recent reports surrounding 2025–2026 conflicts in the Middle E

Haha, ok, believe it if you want. I have seen images suggesting something else. Can't obv give % (the 80% I posted have been an unofficial source), but rockets have been going in uncontested so the fairy-tale of Patriot is done somewhat. 13 US-bases have been more or less destroyed, Israel takes a heavy beating. And even if the Patriot would be as good as told, how to sustain it?! Those interceptors are expensive as ****, the rockets fired from Iran are not! US has lost the war unless it uses nukes....what I really hope won't happen!

--Some interesting analysis of what is going on with Lebanon. I guess we will see just how much leverage IRGC really has, whether they can pressure Israel to stop destroying Hezbollah villages while the "ceasefire" is ongoing. So far they dont appear to be doing anything.

by Dunyain m

Long term strategies only matter if you think there is going to be a long term. I dont think Israeli leaders think there was going to be a long term to worry about if they allowed themselves to be surrounded by Iran and its militias. Now they have some breathing room here, so they can work on rehabilitating their image. First thing is first; you have to ensure your short ter

fyi, Tsurkov is a confirmed Israeli spy that went undercover in Iraq for years and eventually was discovered and arrested by militia forces there. she was recently released for unconfirmed reasons (possible prisoner swap or diplomatic pressure/concessions etc).

basically, nobody should believe anything she says or put any stock in her analysis.

Strait is closed, and the regime is still in power. So much winning.

But hey, we got to drop bombs on another country.

do a literal 5 minute ai google search im not wasting anymore time on your type. bases being hit prove nothing. destroyed is not the term i would use tho. because 5-10% still do hit. One number we can trust tho is the 15 us casualties. this is an incredibly small number if 13 military bases have been "destroyed" This is the best evidence we have that your just full of it

Apparently Nety tried that same sales pitch with both Obama and Biden, but they were both smart enough to say "No."

Nety pretty much lies to everybody.

That can’t be true. You must be mistaken. According to the IRGC Trump and Israel have already surrendered and caved in Iran’s demands.

As we speak the US is packing up to leave the Middle East for good and Israel is running away from Lebanon with its tail between its legs.

Glory to the martyrs. Death to US. Death to Israel. God is Great.

Why? Neither you or I knows if she was an Israeli spy or not. And regardless this is immaterial to whether the analysis is correct.

Do you find any holes in the analysis WRT Amal/hezbollah acting on assurances given to them by the IRGC that so far have not borne fruit?

shes blatantly obv a spy.

I dont know anything about Amal and its relations with Iran or Hezbollah. it does look like Iran just rejected the ceasefire after Israel slaughtered a bunch of civilians. this would indicate the possibility that Iran is not going to sell out the Lebanese as many have predicted they would.

When Obama was president we didn't have this problem.

How are you so active and opinionated on middle eastern affairs, despite having little knowledge or interest in basic facts.

You feel no shame at all over your willful ignorance?

by Trolly McTrollson m

When Obama was president we didn't have this problem.

But we had infinity refugees from nations he allowed the IRGC to destabilize.

Trade offs.

no I do not feel any shame that I am not an expert on the intricacies of Amal-Hezbollah-Iran relations. I am smart enough to avoid narratives from a Zionist spy.
