100 human sacrifices a day could give us great public transportation

Or just have Teslas drive you where ever you want to go.

cars are wildly inefficient compared to trains.

its a sign of incredibly propaganda that you argue otherwise

I'm not taking the train to Walmart. Even if I could, How to I get all my stuff home?

Also, the Strait is open. France just went through.

So the next thing that has to happen is Trump will close it again.

Orban lost?!?!? I kept hearing on msm that him losing was impossible.

The tide is turning on fat ass holes.

hahahaha get ****ed orban

The tide is turning on fat ass holes.

There is surgery for that.

I do a pretty good job of not listening to him from day to day but I saw his latest Wall of Truth Post starts, I **** you not, Pope Leo is WEAK on crime.

The guys brain is well and truly cooked

Why don't you ever use it?

Public transportation is terrible. A giant waste of time. And you risk health and safety.

Waste of time? Do you live somewhere without traffic lights or car accidents? And even if you have a perfect drive with no delays, all greens - you're still stuck behind the wheel, operating the engine and wheels and mirrors, etc. On a train or bus you get all of that time back to read/work/play - hell, you might even meet a real person!

Someone hasn't driven in a Tesla with FSD.

And someone who hasn't tried using public transportation in CA. Even Filthy doesn't use it and would say it's terrible.

public transportation is good in SF, but I think that's the only place in ca

might have something to do with us spending infinity dollars on cars and 0 on trains

it's worth it if Mark can go to Walmart though

100 human sacrifices a day

I have used it!

I would rather eat glass than ride on the San Francisco crosstown bus. I have sensory issues, things can just be too much. Filthy is similar I am sure. A mangled tousle of largely wretched people coming and going and the sounds and smells and its too much to deal with.

The other public trans I took in SF was great. Streetcars and whatnot. The big tram thing. I have never taken public trans in LA second helping of glass please.

I rode a bus in Mexico up the coast to Cancun and that mf was tip top. Huge seats, very comfy, personal air conditioning. Just a vibe. That was probably a private bus now that I think about it.

Mexico gets a lot of things right. And they get a lot of narcotrafficante gang violence. Used to not be so in Cancun but even the Riviera Maya I've heard has gone the way of the gun.

In Warhammer 40k, the Emperor of Man died (spoiler alert) ten thousand years ago and he is kept, not alive, but in a state where he can do the couple big magical things only he can do, he is plugged into a gigantic machine that runs on the human sacrifice of thousands of psykers (people with psychic ability) per day. They put the psykers in little cells and the big machine eats their Death.

So 100 a day does not seem like a lot.

SF trains are like 7/10
SF busses are like 5/10

the busses do come often and cover the entire city, just not very pleasant to ride. but overall I would say it's a good system.

and of course any health issues(mental or physical) is going to make using public transportation harder. when I was younger and healthier and poorer, I used it all the time. mostly rode my bicycle though. and walked a lot.

also SF is a terrible place to drive. I'm always walking or biking when I can.

100 a day is just from the crashes. and just in USA. that's not counting the millions that die from the oil wars, and the billions that die from climate change

If the bus was empty it could be a 8 or 9 it's not the bus I have a problem with.

Being a Socialist who doesn't like society is one of several fundamental contradictions of amplitude.

public transportation is great, it's how i get anywhere. I'm sure it sucks in the US because you guys don't like nice things unless it makes some billionaire a ton of money.

Cincinnati has a good bus system that runs all the way to the suburbs and they have a snazzy new free electric streetcar downtown. If they could expand that kind of light rail throughout the area things could be nice but The Powers do not want it.

Public transport in Paris was ok, you still walk wherever then got to wait then do whatever. I wouldn't exactly describe the time on the train as pleasant. I'm sure it's great compared to driving around Paris or London.

Usa driving is just easier lots of times in lots of cities. Fewer cars and people and more room for cars.

Buses seem way more **** than trains.

public transit has so many inherent benefits over private automobile, it's really just a question of profit

the only time I would prefer a personal vehicle is, like Mark said, for grocery runs, but that's maybe 10-15% of my travel

non-perishable big box stuff should be delivered

healthier, cheaper (for using and maintaining), better for community, less stressful, safer, environmental

otoh, harder to calculate ROI

so the choice is clear

part of the reason driving in USA is better is because car companies bribed politicians to make cities more car friendly.

it's incredibly evil

newer places don't even have ****ing sidewalks! if you want/have to walk someplace, you have to walk in the ****ing street where the ****ing cars drive. it's depressing AF to have to try to walk on a route like that. not to mention dangerous.

SF is less car friendly cuz it's tiny, 7 square miles, and mostly built before car companies could bribe politicians. same with nyc.

when Los Angeles started to become a big city, in the 20s, there were plans to make it a public transportation city. might not have worked cuz of geography. but either way, car companies swooped in and bribed politicians to make the first city designed to be a car city. and you can see the results are a nightmare. getting around LA is probably the worst city in world.

also the smog was so bad that ca hade to make clean air laws, otherwise LA would be unlivable. that's why ca was a leader in a clean air laws, not because it's a lib state.

same with gun control. CA has stricter gun control to stop the black Panthers, not cuz it's a lib state. before the Panthers CA had no gun control.
