New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

The McArch is a lot of beef!

I ate four of them, the last I was like g-dang this is a big burger!

I'll make a note to hit up BK ASAP

Just got an email from McDs with updates to the rewards program coming on Star Wars Day (my words, not theirs).

Seems worse.

Seems worse.

Only positive i see is being able to use points for a $3 coupon - the value isn't there really, but helpful if you don't like any of the food options. Otherwise, most of the items cost more points now.

Curious to see what the personalization adds to the reqrds offerings. I'm sure they'll still be worse value, however.

def seems worse

Way worse.

The McChicken and Cheeseburger have gone from 1500 pts to 2000 pts.

The McChicken and Cheeseburger have gone from 1500 pts to 2000 pts.

Everything listed under 7,000 points is currently 6,000. All of it is increasing by 1,000 points. But they are trying to spin it as being better, I'm sure.

thanks for the update on the points. as with everything in this world, this change was inevitable... which is why i redeemed 3 FOFs in the last month alone!

I'm burning all my points ASAP, but I think I'm gonna get one MCArch meal at $12.99 as a grand finale

people like colovegplayer with 100k+ points: my regards to your sodium levels

edit: one month to burn your points boys

Key Improvements to the Bun
Texture and quality — Softer, fluffier, thicker, with more volume/lift and a sturdier structure. It's less prone to getting soggy, crumbling, or falling apart compared to the old softer roll.

always gotta love the AI accuracy. New bun is softer, doesn't fall apart like the old softer bun.

yeah the BK bun, compared to what it used to be for Whoppers, was quite heavenly tbh

has anyone tried out the new and "improved" Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich yet? I may tackle that this weekend.

yeah mr white, yeah science

I had dinner last night at the Hollywood Tesla Diner. Pretty good BUT... It's a bit pricey. Reminded me a lot of the Disneyland theme restaurants. However, the biggest negative was that the place had 75+ EV charging spots but no normal parking. I had to park on the street.

well you paid for that experience with all your recent FF savings. Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

Why wouldn't you just park at one of the stations and not plug it in?

by marknfw m

Why wouldn't you just park at one of the stations and pretend to plug in by sticking the charger into your grill?

fyp

He drives a Tesla, so I guess the only reason he didn't just park and plug in is because maybe they charge to charge.

I have no qualms at all parking in the Volta slots with my Tacoma at the local mall or Kohls, lol.

Yes, I can charge way cheaper at home. There were signs all over the place that the spots were for EV charging only. And two security guards telling me that I needed to charge.

Now in theory I could have started charging and just pressed the stop charging button on my phone. But then I would have to contend with possible idle fees.

Edit: I found this... Tesla Diner idle fee details. So maybe I would have been fine.

was the place that empty in experience or were you sitting away from the crowd?

Picture was taken at 11:45pm. 15 minutes before closing. There were about 10 tables of people there. I just didn't want to take a picture of random people eating.

makes perfect sense
thank you for scratchin' my nose for knowledge

I got the Costco food court chef salad again. That thing is delicious!!!

I saw 3 other people eating it. The word is spreading. Lol

$8 though...

$8 though...

That had to be painful.

I visited Rick for an app offer of a $6 Big Mac (or 10 pc or FoF) medium value meal. It was solid. Looked at the Wendy's app before I went and there were zero acceptable offers. Worst it's ever been.

Kinda wild, with how cheap veggies have to be for Costco who buys them at a clip others can’t, for it to be that much seems a little much for me. But if people are buying it, I suppose it’s “justified” in some way.

I got an email McDs is improving their reward points levels at some date coming up. Which means use up your points now before they lose value.

Do we know what that date is?

not meant at all as a dig toward those striving to be undiscoclothed on the next unregistered log of maximum value within 500 points of the closest micky app happy meal value hour finder

please post your honest opinion about the taste and experience of the lunch food product you receive
