Just remembered Nina Simone trod on my foot once. It was in Paris, early '82, and I was in her way, apparently. Umpty lady. I stood aside and went 'Pardon, madame,' and she just gave me a filthy look and pushed by. Possibly I should have said mam'selle.

The IDF doesn’t just shoot students.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Bibi visited the troops in Southern Lebanon. What a bad ass going into a war zone.

--It really does seem like we are moving to a future where democratic Western European nations (and eventually the US too) with large antisemitic Muslim and Communist voting blocks, are going to cut ties with Israel to appease their populace. And nations without this internal pressure valve are going to take advantage and fill the gap, as Israel does seem to add value, especially when it comes to surveillance and military tech (necessity is the mother of invention)

Demographics is destiny as they say.

Europe seems to be moving to a future with 2 separate economic/military blocs, the West aligned with China (with their manufacturing capacity and non banking industry completely hollowed out) and the East aligned more with US. Although the US is facing many of the same demographic challenges as Western Europe, so may eventually end up abandoning Eastern Europe/Israel.

A lot of today's Israelis come from people who fled Russia's deep history of violent antisemitism, so there is common ground there with the former Eastern Bloc states.

I don't see the disintegration of Europe continuing, though. Brexit was very damaging to Britain's economy, and Hungary just loudly moved away from Russia. If anything, Trump's foreign policy is propelling Europe's integration way beyond its ambitions even twenty years ago when the EU was exciting instead of boring. Caveat I don't live or work in Europe; happy to learn if/where I'm off base.

Yes, though only about a third of the population are European-descended Ashkenazis. Half as many again are Mizrahis.

France’s government tried to define “new forms of antisemitism” in its “Yadan” law to silence criticism of Israel, but failed.

As Shulamit Aloni, former Israeli minister of education, said,:

Antisemitism... it's a trick ... we always use it .... to silence any criticism of Israel and justify everything we do to the Palestinians

Massive torture regime in Israeli prisons.

A human rights lawyer’s searing testimony about how Israel’s genocide is carried out against Palestinians behind bars.[/URL]

theres also this Haaretz article where, surprise surprise, the Israelis are the actually victims bc they suffer from "moral injury" due to their evil deeds.

That's Jesus

That's Jesus

Huh?

He's smashing a Jesus statue in the head. It's from South Lebanon. Seems self explanatory.

He’s just getting some practice in for when he next meets a group of Gazan school kids.

Funny but sad bc it's yrue

Oh on couldn’t tell it was a statue, very lifelike looking statue.

Looks like they are investigating the incident

might be AI tbh. but seems everyone thinks its real.

anyway, in other news, dog rape is back in the discussion bc a Jew agreed it was happening.

this follows the typical pattern where Palestinians testify about something. everyone calls you antisemitic for repeating their assertions. and then a few months or years later the Israelis themselves admit that it was true all along. soon enough the Western media will pick it up.

He's an important figure in the New Testament.

He's an important figure in the New Testament.

I just didn’t see the resemblance until it was explained. Initially the statue was so realistic looking I thought it was a picture of someone executing someone with a hammer. Now I see it’s a religious icon, which is pretty yikes to smash religious icons and can be considered a war crime.

"investigating"

There was a secret Hamas tunnel hiding under Jesus's head, the IDF had to smash Him in.
