Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?

Rake in Nevada microstakes is outrageous!

To see the impact of the rake at microstakes at wsop.com, let's use an example.

Suppose in NLHE 6 players are in a 0.05/0.10 game. On the end of the hand, there are two players in the pot. Each player put about half of their 100 bb stack in the pot on and after the flop, so that pot totals about 10.00.

According to https://www.wsoponline.com/nv/how-to-pla... the rake is 0.01 for every 0.18 in the pot, and the cap is 3.00. Well 10.00 / 0.18 = 55.56, so the rake on a 10.00 pot is 55.56 * 0.01 = 0.5556.

The big blind is 0.10, so the rake is 0.5556 / 0.10 = 5.556 big blinds, or the equivalent of 5.556 * 5 = 27.78 at a 2.00/5.00 game!

That's a massive jump of maximum rake charged, from $0.50 per hand at $0.02/$0.05 to $3.00 per hand at $0.05/$0.10!

It would be much fairer and logical to make $0.05/$0.10's maximum $1.25 and $0.10/$0.20's maximum $2.50, before moving up to $3.00.

Did anyone else lose most of their reward point redemption options?

Did anyone else lose most of their reward point redemption options?

Yup. Man it seems like silly stuff like this just happens way too often. Frustrating

Noticed the $1 Immediate Bonus option is gone for 80 rewards points. Have to get to $5 (400 rewards points) to get immediate bonus now. Unless you want to do the $1 Blast ticket for 90 points. That of course, is still available. These idiots..

Ok. I don't mind that actually. How did you find out they made this change?

You can see it when you go to redeem your reward points. In my account. I just prefer more options rather than less.

I'm not guessing, they are just pushing people to the crazy rake Blast games.

anyone still crashing on daily basis?

Bought a surface pro recently but cant seem to get wsop working on it. Every time I try to log in it says my location verification failed and just closes on me.
Anyone have any fixes? I play on my desktop and phone zero issues on the same network.

I mean really? Sites deserve to be called out when they fail the players, you are just complaining for the sport of it.

WSOP NV keeps disappointing year after year.

Im in vegas over summer for wsop. Does the site get packed with action? I briefly checked it last year and seem to remember it being rammed.
Also does anyone know the max rakeback since they changed it, it used to be 40% i saw but wondering if its still the same?

Guys cmon... if you are a regular in the games, you cannot still be sitting to the direct left of the table starter. This is common sense that should be respected.

Sorry. You might be referring to me. I saw before you were arguing with BetterBettor about this. I think the problem is that the auto-seating algorithm literally does that. So, as I'm firing up a bunch of tables, it just seats me wherever it wants, which seems to be always to the left of the table starter.

If I remember, I move, but if I get into action quickly sometimes I don't make the effort before the table fills up.

You may want to bring it up with the developers to change that default behavior or make it random? I agree it's not super fair, although I guess it really depends on who it sits to your left now doesn't it. 😀

Now that I'm more experienced, I think it's a courtesy that we should try to respect when we can. It just is a sign of mutual respect among regs/desire for fairness.

You're 100% right about the algo though and the fact that it usually sits you on the left. It's really strange. I've made an effort to just move seats really quick despite it.

I believe you think, and bettor and I long ago resolved it. But there are so many regulars that are just doing it as their standard. Obviously some regs are so bad I don’t mind them camping out there, but I don’t think it’s asking too much to have some decency.

On a side note. I'm gonna be in Vegas for the weekend and might have Sunday night to play some poker. Any recommendations on where to play on a Sunday night?!

You’re right it isn’t a huge deal. But it’s also giving the players less options and not letting them access more of their earned money. So I consider that one more notch in the failing the players category. What have they done well for us lately?

Aria or Wynn

Aria or Wynn

I can't play on WSOP but do play on 888, since there is a connection between the two sites I have one question that maybe you could help with.

When a player has used their club tokens for freeplay and win whatever amount and then becomes a bonus, do WSOP require you to go bust before it can be wagered like 888?

Lately, not much I will definitely say that. Feels like 18 months ago they were trying new things, trying to help out regs more.

It depends on the stakes you prefer, but Bellagio has always been one of my first choices. I also like Mandalay Bay because the games are typically very soft but games can be hit or miss there (would pay attention to whether or not they are running hours promos because that can slow the action a bit). That's for 1/2 and 1/3... 2/5 I'd say aria tbh.

All games will play similar according to the cap. The higher the cap the tougher the game:

$500-$600 cap: Aria 1/3, Bellagio 1/3, Wynn 1/3, Venetian 2/3, South Point 2/3
$1k - Bellagio 2/5
$1200 - Venetian 3/5
$1500 - Aria 2/5, Wynn 2/5

Those are the games that run regularly. Other games can be found around town but in slower rooms. And I am not sure the $300 cap games are worth playing. Usually filled with locals sitting with $60 trying to put in hours for promos. Some rooms like MGM($1k cap 1/3) and Golden Nugget(no cap) play small 90% of the time regardless of what the cap is. The games listed above either have no promo rake or have enough people donating to cancel out its effects

I mentioned this a while back but can someone explain how the rake at 20NL and below is beatable? If my math is correct they take 1c for every 18c in the pot up to a max of $3 at 20NL. So if you buy in for $20 and play an all in pot they will rake $2.22 which is about 11bb. If you have a bigger stack and are all in vs another big stack they will rake 15bb(max at this level). So this would be equivalent to playing a 2/5 game in a casino and being all in for $500 and the dealer takes $55 out of the pot(10x the normal amount of rake taken in live poker). So is this rake equivalent to rake on other sites? Is it actually beatable? Does playing a ton of tables make things better? I just can't seem to wrap my head around it
