I'm actually gonna defend Victor here. It's not unreasonable to connect the Military-Industrial Complex war with Iran with Israel's genocide in Gaza and other Gaza-related issues.
I think that's basically true at one level, but more as a mechanism. The root is deeper at the ideological level. Race and ethnicity aren't really directly relevant. Radical Islamic religious ideology simply can't coexist with the liberal democratic ideologies of the West, or really most other advanced nations. So, there's a sort of ideological or cultural evolution going on with the regimes and sects in the ME versus the rest of the world, where the strong survive and the weak perish. A conta-Victor could see the same sort of purging with Stalin and Mao. It's just that now his team is on the receiving side of everything he and they advocate doing to their ideological enemies.

Since this is regressing into I/P stuff... do any of you read Jewish reddit? It provides some pretty good perspectives about the Jewish experience, and Palestinians post in there as well.

I think most of the perspectives are well said, and they understand the complexities of all sides of these wars. I post that specific thread because it's new, but there are a lot of similar threads on there about these issues.
