Apparently Eagle Mountain has 400 four bedroom abandoned homes with large front and back yards plus bowling alley and abandoned gas stations, pool, etc.
If they didn't have security and word got out to Nomads, this would be a Nomadic paradise of free weekend stays and/or Nomadic long term settlements.
There is also an abandoned prison with 436 cells.
Saw Casino Nomad yesterday on his way out the door. This weekend is Wrestlemania, and rooms are sky high. I couldn't afford it either and went to the Rio. Ugh. I think I liked it more before it was sold.

I check this thread every once in a while and and i find it amazing that you guys continue to talk about Rice. When will you guys going to run out of things to say?
If Rice had a major incident in the last year or so, then that could explain it. Is that what happened? And, if so, cliffs?
He has major incidents in almost every video.
The thread has devolved into the adventures of "nomads", in other words, homeless near-bums. The common trait among them all is cheapness, which leads to lightweight petty theft and trespass. Another trait is stupidity, and/or the inability to get or hold meaningful employment. The exception is Casino Nomad, who has a debilitating gambling addiction that brings him down to the same level as all the other bums.
There's nothing new or entertaining in the vlog game. Jaman still does his thing, but that "thing" is the same, video after video. You could take any of his from the last three years, and post them under different dates, and you couldn't tell the difference. Jonathan Little still does his good educational videos, but there seems to be nothing worth discussing about them.
So the nomad/bum clown show is what we've been reduced to discussing.
Last time I was in Vegas was in 2022. I have been going to Vegas for 20 years up until then. All Vegas buffets were on a big decline both in just pure quality and also especially value vs quality imo. MGM and Bellagio buffets had some impressive declines throughout that timeframe. Caesars' buffet was still "worth" it, but mostly because Diamond members get a free $100 meal every year. It used to be you could get a meal at a nice restaurant, but it's only a buffet pass now because of skyrocketing prices.
What about South Point/Orleans/Gold Coast buffets? They were never what you would call good, but they were edible at least, and filled the tummy. The best middle ground buffet I used to like was at Paris. Plus, I have a dozen free passes I got as poker comps.

Today ELD visits the Salton Sea.
First order of business, states ELD, is that it is actually a lake and not a sea.
The Salton Lake drains and refills naturally over thousands of years.
Water was diverted for irrigation and the runoff from farms ended up in the Salton Lake which caused excessive sludge and minerals in the lake.
A cascading effect of pesticide pollution caused entire schools of fish to die and this attracted Nomads to get free fish and abandoned properties.
Nomads would have to desalinate the Salton Lake water via distillation either by solar method or burning scraps of wood to boil the water and then condense the pure water vapor.
Niland the town adjacent to the Salton Lake has trailers. Niland also has Lithium for batteries. The wind blows toxic dust.
The lake takes up an area of 325 square miles and has free salt deposits for condiments.
ELD has his neck mask but the lake does not smell bad today.

There's also an outdoor museum in a nearby town and an art installation called Salvation Mountain. I'm looking for videos that actually feature those things.
ETA: based on his reply to a comment, he filmed today's video on Bombay Beach. That is exactly where the art projects are located. So unless he saved more footage for another video, this confirms he didn't bother to find out about it.

Wow, diesel is really trying to prove me right that he is going to get Rambo’d in one of these inhabited “ghost towns”. He says the security guard is a jerk for questioning why a clearly single middle aged man is poking around a grade school, he should be doing that. Meanwhile diesel is so rude and condescending saying it’s a ghost town to the guy’s face. For someone so hung up on semantics, diesel should know virtually zero does not mean zero, plus he knows there’s ranchers all around these areas, so while the town might be empty, there’s a bunch of large families around.
Wait it was a grade school? I didn't watch the video but just assumed it was his normal college campus.
