The nazis used to portray Jews in a not so flattering way. They used images of people with fangs and huge noses. Pictures like this are meant to dehumanize the Jews to promote more hatred.
both photos are real. the first was posted by an IDF soldier on his personal account. Israel confirmed it was real as the link from checkrais shows.
the second is a portrayal of reality there are no fangs or huge noses. just the reality that Palestinians face at the hands of their murderous Supremacist oppressors.
what was AI, however, was the IDF's accusation that the journalists they murdered in Lebanon a few days ago were Hezbollah. in fact, Israel admitted that the photos were AI to Fox News of all places lol. I guess they thought tit would get edited out or something I dunno.

This wasn't a "you guys" problem. It required only a minimum of googling to know that Netanyahu, the IDF, etc., had all admitted the photo was real. The only person who thought otherwise was the forum's dimmest participant.
Cell phones have confirmed what true participants in wars have always known -- when you ask people in their 20s to kill people they don't know, some of those people will ignore rules of engagement and do things that range from offensive to incomprehensibly dehumanizing. No country is immune. It's always just a question of degree.
I doubt that the top brass of the IDF is encouraging that sort of thing. Pissing off evangelicals in the U.S. probaby isn't a great war strategy.
oh right I agree. they def care about the bad publicity this brings than the bad publicity murdering children brings. also, smashing Jesus statues brings a lot more bad press from the West than killing kids.

It's worth bearing in mind that the IDF is, in effect, an ethnic militia. If you remember how ethnic militias behaved in former Yugoslavia, under political and military leaders pursuing ethnic grudges... it's not so different.

You should try reading the words that I actually wrote. The IDF soldier who hammered that Jesus statue obviously thought it was a good idea unless he was being controlled from aliens in outer space or was having some sort of psychotic episode.

I made a statement about IDF leadership. I gave a specific explanation that was based purely on self interest and that had nothing do with whether IDF brass are the most virtuous or the most evil people on Earth. I didn't say anything in my original post about the specific soldier in the photo.
Just read the words, not what you imagine I want to say. I assure you that I know how to say something if I want to do so.
