2026 MLB Season Thread
Welcome back to the greatest, most fun baseball community in the world!
Last year was amazing entertainment. This year pr
Taijuan Walker is the worst pitcher in the history of the world and would be lucky to get high school hitters out.
[ ] Probably
[ ] Definitely
I guess the Phillies agreed. They just released him.
HRs have always been a problem for him for years, but giving up 36 hits, 11 BBs, and 8 HRs in 22.2 IP is absurd.
Prediction, Astros/Yanks runs will total 25 tonight.
Mad Max needs to quit pitching for public consumption. If he must continue, he should do so in the privacy of his own home.
I am not going to be shocked if Skenes throws a no hitter tonight. He has been efficient through three innings, and this Brewers lineup is not exactly intimidating.
Red Sox fire Alex Cora after a 10-17 start
All you nerds have to agree he has to get his 3,500 strikeout before he gets sent out to pasture. 3499 and counting that is brutal.
Let him eat some innings in blowout games to see if he can show that he has anything. He only has 1 K in his last 2 starts. That's pretty painful. 10 k's total through 5 starts? 1 more isn't even a lock if they start him again.
His ERA+ trend doesn't look to be a joke.
2022 - 167
2023 - 112
2024 - 97
2025 - 83
2026 - 47 so far....
Boston fired three additional coaches along with their βhitting strategyβ & βrun preventionβ guys. I wasnβt aware that baseball had been following football down that road.
JAYS!
Need to win games.
Kevin McGonigle keeps getting compared to Utley, but the truth is he's unlike any hitter that's ever played.
Kid is absolutely ferocious in every AB.

His upside depends entirely on how much the power plays as gap rather than over the fence. The hit tool is very, very real.
Healthy Dustin Pedroia seems like the downside case, which obviously is still a very good player. Upside case feels like Altuve with more patience and less speed.
The head of hogwartz is definitely his ceiling
dangit you ding dongs in Pittsburgh. Perfect through 6+ innings, then blow the game in the 9th. I'm done rooting for you. On to the Marlins, Rays, and Pads.
If your team hasn't gotten out of the gate the way you wanted them to. Maybe your manager doesn't care enough. Hal McRae going off 19 years ago after the Royals got off to a 7-12 start.
Actually Safe for Work (beep)
Later in his (playing) career, his Kansas City Royals teammate Dan Quisenberry recalled that whenever a Royals player took time off because of injury, "McRae gets dressed like a commando, hides in a trash can in the clubhouse, and then jumps out and 'shoots' the guy...McRae believes that if a guy is hurt and can't play, he's dead to the club, so McRae shoots him and kills him."
Phillies manager Rob Thompson fired.
Seems like the Braves are the only team in the NL East interested in competing for the division
The dodgers missed a big challenge today. 1st inning, bases loaded, 2 out, fielders choice to 2nd.
He's called out to end the inning. Looked very safe on replays. They didn't challenge. Should've been a run in and bases still loaded.
Lost the game 2-1.
Blue Jays stock rising. Won 4/5. Yesavage back, might have 3 ace starters now. Springer about to come back too.
