Like it isnt a good place to sleep, you risk sunburn and its not particularly comfortable.

I mostly agree, but worried it's actually under 11. I wouldn't call it a good place either, but people do it a lot.

Think it locks in a few hours. Leaning towards better than 11 for this just because it's so common for people to do.

I'll just leave 11 here as a compromise in case you don't come back.

I can go for 11 it is somewhere where people do sleep but it's less than ideal

Are we on a 36 hour time-limit for the guessers? I'm assuming that 11 is the final guess, but I don't want to start discussing higher/lower until this is determined.

I'm on Team Lower. A towel on a beach is a perfectly reasonable place to sleep, sunburns notwithstanding. I'd consider even a 12 or 13 to at least be unsafe or uncomfortable but a beach towel isn't that.

Growing up in Miami, I've spent plenty of time on the beach and have seen countless people asleep on a towel on the sand on a sunny day. Not once, have I ever thought to myself, "what the heck is this person thinking, falling asleep here?"

I'm not saying it's a great place to sleep, but it is a perfectly reasonable place to sleep for some people (not filthy).

Filthy, if a beach towel is a 15 then what number would you assign to sleeping on a bed of nails or on broken glass? What's an 11 on your scale?

I think this clue is a 9 or a 10 more often than it's a 12 or 13 and it's never ever 15+

how many of those countless people asleep on the beach were white and didnt have on sunscreen?
