2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Got some griddy vibes but stronger at WR than he usually makes it. I think it looks pretty good for only have 2 WRs through 8 rounds. The 9/10 turn feels like the last call for WRs you can really believe in, then it gets dicey. I've opened up some slows in the 10th and 11th rounds needing WR and was not pleased haha.
And Bryce as your QB2 makes it work pretty well too.
What do you guys think of Mooney? Seems a bit underpriced, but he also sucked last year haha
One of the few Giants I don't mind clicking more of just because of his price.
Now that's the kind of team that people will look at in 7 months and say, "why the **** didn't I make that team?"

I guess he's fine. Infamously, he was one of my highest drafted players last season. I don't really want any pass catchers from that offense. Especially since I'm not sure how much Mooney will matter for weeks 15-17. It's crowded with a bunch of JAGS behind Nabers, and I don't really expect it to be a high passing volume. I'm mainly playing the offense through Dart, Skattebo and Tracy.
got stoned and accidentally did my first BBM last night. hate the jakobi pick lol
Spoiler
Haha I came across some Jakobi discourse posts today on X. There are hives all over the place for the Jags. You have the Hunter hive. You have the Parker hive. You have the Tuten hive. You have the CRod hive. You have the BTJ hive. You have the Jakobi hive. Some people have always loved Jakobi and all he does is put up average numbers. Every year I hear about how he's undervalued. Maybe that's part of my problem on him lol. He's been someone who I've never been into with the Pats, Raiders or Jags now. Maybe it's because he's a UDFA from NC State lol.
Three of my favorite offenses to play right now. They all have upside to be the undervalued offense you need.
I kind of lump Jakobi in with guys like Mooney, Pittman, Kupp, Kirk, etc.
Guys that are draftable, but probably better fits on certain builds. Where you need more floor than ceiling.
Like Jakobi is probably a good fit if you draft 3 rookie WRs.
Yeah, there are definitely layers to it. But last year I looked at my finals teams and hated a lot of the players on them. So this year, one of my strategies has been to fade anyone who I'd be upset to see on my finals team. And Jakobi definitely makes that cut.
Kupp and Mooney do too.
I don't mind Kirk, as I think he can still play and the 49ers have enough WR uncertainty and will be a good offense, I could see him having good weeks in the playoffs. The same for Pittman. If Rodgers does come back, I think Pittman will be his guy, as Pittman's game much better aligns with a 41 year old Rogers who doesn't want to be touched. We already saw DK and this version of Rodgers weren't that great of a fit. And I don't think a second round rookie WR will be in Rodgers's good graces, either. So I'm mainly playing the RBs, Pittman and Muth from that offense.
Oh boy, Malik Nabers second surgery news has hit the timeline.
Really good video from ETR today with Herzig, Levi, and Pete on the top strategies for 2026.
No surprise, Robust RB and Hero RB were 1 and 2.
I’m looking forward to that one.
Free $25 if you play golf.
UD also dropped draft 5 BBMs, get one free by 5/17 11:59 pm et.
i don't think so
I think it can work, but you need some things to go your way. Kittle and Mahomes being ready for week 1 would help a lot. Also a lot of late season risk with their ages and Kittle's injury history, but even if you tack on someone like Henry, Juwan, Schultz types, no guarantee they fill in missing points.
And I think 27 is still too high. I wonder if he eventually makes it to the 3/4 turn. A lot more WR uncertainty there, so I'd finally start to be interested.
He could even make it into the 4th or 5th, depending on how PUP news goes.
Bengals vs Ravens w17 is awesome!
I think the only guy at the 2/3 turn I'd take Nabers over is probably Jacobs.
I think from Allen to Kyren (29-34), Nabers starts to be reasonable
