USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
Wow, what a change of attitude!
I thought war was won (multiple times), regime was changed (multiple times), Iranian's arsenal was obliterated (multiple times) and the US was getting the best deal ever (multiple times).
Missclick?
Epic fury was a success.
The regime was never changed. It was highly fractured.
The Iranian navy and air force was obliterated. What we see now are basically Iranian pirates causing issues.
The part where I think Trump bit off more than he can chew is ridding the Iranian nuclear program. This was never something that could be negotiated. This is something that needs to be done by kinetic force.
The problem with pretending there's been any success here, is much the same as pretending that you're not mongidig. No one believes it.

Success lol. Good one buddy.
I don't know why you doubt mongidig's assessment of political events. He has friends all over the world.
I don’t think this Trump speech is gonna be a warm and fuzzy one. I believe he is going to prepare us for a massive operation. I talked to my friend Shlomo in Israel and he is hearing the same thing over there. I would not doubt if the operation had already begun at the time of the Presidents speech.
I talk to my friend Lars a lot who lives there. He says it’s gotten really bad. He says a good day recently is simply getting home from work without getting raped.
My friend Achmed in Iran says the people are getting ready to rise up. He said armed anti regime soldiers are now out in the streets fighting the IRGC.
Perhaps a hiking trip in the Dolomites in addition to Rome and Florence. Maybe a little Puglia. My friend Edoardo lives there.
My friend Dmitry has an animal refuge in Blagovencgesnia Russia. He has several Tigers. Perhaps the most beautiful animal on Earth.
I looked into making a side trip there to see the pyramids but after doing some research there is no way. My friend Youseff lives there and says it’s non stop scams and hounding for tips. He says he doesn’t know a person who hasn’t been raped. The roads and driving are horrific. It’s just a nasty place.
Rococo, I admire that you bring receipts.
After reading the list of friends, I would suspect all of his friends in the US are named John.
I would imagine that Trump meeting with china would be slightly positive for the peacekeepers of the world since xi is going to remind trump how imperative it is that the strait stays operative. When youre as one dimensional as trump, any little reminder could potentially change trajectory, i guess. Bush was like that with the pope.

There is the very small matter of the strait. It is closed. It is economically essential. It closed because Iran used the only leverage it had. Trump has no winning move to open it safely. He can't open by pounding the crap out of Iran, and he can't open it through negotiation.
Also, and perhaps most importantly, Iran now wants more control over the strait than before the US attacks??
To date, Trump has been hinting that peace is just around the corner, but Iran keeps coming up very short in counter proposals.
I have said it before but it seems that it is Trump's move, and he has no correct move.... and he only has himself to blame.
Also, while every navy ship or Iran's may be gone, there are still hundreds of small, fast gunboats around, and some land-based firepower. These weapons may no be super destructive, but they present enough of a nuisance to keep every cargo ship at anchor.
But hey Elway, keep on posting like Trump is playing 3D chess and is winning and Iran is days away from starving or surrendering or whatever way you see Iran caving in.
It did indeed distract people from yelling about how ****ed up we are domestically, and also from Epstein. Smashing success in those regards.

Somehow, I doubt you or your family (at least the few remaining ones who aren't estranged from you) will be directly involved in a boots-on-the-ground style invasion of Iran. You prefer to leave the actual fighting and dying to the poor. I'll be waiting with bated breath for you to prove me wrong, you chickenhawk pussy.
It seems trump has just moved on from iran now. He's got other things to **** up.
For some reason, your post reminded me of the bolded line in Kafka's parable about Prometheus.
There are four legends concerning Prometheus:
According to the first, he was clamped to a rock in the Caucasus for betraying the secrets of the gods to men, and the gods sent eagles to feed on his liver, which was perpetually renewed.
According to the second, Prometheus, goaded by the pain of the tearing beaks, pressed himself deeper and deeper into the rock until he became one with it.
According to the third, his treachery was forgotten in the course of thousands of years, the gods forgotten, the eagles, he himself forgotten.
According to the fourth, every one grew weary of the meaningless affair. The gods grew weary, the eagles grew weary, the wound closed wearily.
There remained the inexplicable mass of rock.--The legend tried to explain the inexplicable. As it came out of a substratum of truth it had in turn to end in the inexplicable.

Correct! I prefer to leave the fighting to those in the military.

Really only low IQ people are talking about Epstein files as if he's hiding something. Sorry man.
President Obama on Iran: 'We pulled it off without firing a missile'
βMy basic theory was that Iran couldnβt become a nuclear state, that the regime itself was murderous, oftentimes towards its own people, engaged in state-sponsored terrorism, was a threat to the United States and allies of ours, so the idea that they would have nuclear weapons would be extraordinarily dangerous,β he said. βWhat I also believed was that the regime was not entirely irrational, that they had a survival instinct, and that when you carry out the military force, innocent people die.β
The discussions were long and complex, but in the end, Iran agreed to major restrictions on its nuclear program and to open its facilities to international inspectors.
The deal required Iran to reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium by close to 98 percent, but they were allowed to maintain some low-grade substance for civilian energy purposes.
βThereβs no dispute that it worked, and we didnβt, we didnβt have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz,β Obama argued.

So.... why not release the entire unredacted files? Only low IQ people are talking about Epstein files as if he's not hiding something.
National security you say? Release the entire* cache of files to a bipartisan panel to do the redacting.
*of what is left. Bondi and cohorts have probably nuked the Trumpstein files.
The deal was only a short term fix. Key restrictions on Irans program expired after 10 years. Iran was allowed to keep their centrifuges. They received billions in sanctions relief. This relief was used to ramp up missile production. It also was used to fund their terror proxies. Weapons inspectors were not allowed to come in unannounced. For undeclared sights, Iran had two weeks to respond to a request for inspection.
Does this sound like a good deal to anybody?
Hey stupid lying dipshit rapist, you really have abandoned your coordi + me conspiracy theory in a ****ing hurry haven’t you
Any thoughts or evidence on your coordi + me conspiracy theory? As a reminder, I will give you $25k on the spot if you can provide evidence, stupid lying dipshit rapist

Too bad we don't have a volunteer-only military so poor folks don't get drafted into service against their will.
Yeah, like that's never happened in the US.
