USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
Really only low IQ people are talking about Epstein files as if he's hiding something. Sorry man.
A lot of people on social media and in here have been talking about Epstein non stop. On that note, I totally agree with what you said.
Any distraction from the Epstein files was just an added benefit.
Why would trump need to start a war as a distraction? There could be a video of trump raping someone and MAGA still wouldn’t care.
It did indeed distract people from yelling about how ****ed up we are domestically, and also from Epstein. Smashing success in those regards.Somehow, I doubt you or your family (at least the few remaining ones who aren't estranged from you) will be directly involved in a boots-on-the-ground style invasion of Iran. You prefer to leave the actual fighting and dying to the poor.
Count your blessings that you were born in North America and not in a country like Israel or South Korea where everyone, rich and poor has to serve.
He might be more thick headed. I’m not sure how not being completely opposed to military action against Iran amounts to being a full blown MAGAt. Especially when one of Trumps big selling points to MAGA was no new wars. He seems very angry and confused.
And well no one supports genocide as much as victor
A couple notes.
First off, there was no real negotiations. Early in his term Obama and his advisers unilaterally decided to do an Iran deal without really consulting Khameni or anyone else in IRI at all. The Obama administration even supported the IRI in the 2009 Green Movement against the Iranian people, as a show of good faith.
Despite all this, when Obama presented the JCPOA to the IRI, Khameni basically said "No, I dont trust you, not interested." So Obama kept making the terms better and better for IRI and coming back over and over and over; until finally they made the terms so agreeable to Khameni he finally relented and said ok. Then before the ink was dry the IRI broke most of the nuclear terms. Everything short of building an actual bomb.
There never was any real negotiations*.
Then after the JCPOA went into effect; with the blessing of Obama and sanctions relief the JCPOA provided, the IRI spent the next decade arming and funding fundamentalist religious militias to destabilize and destroy half the Arab world. Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza. It was a complete shitshow.
*Same as there are no real negotiations today and never had been. The IRGC has not budged an inch on their demands to end the war. They are just waiting Trump out. For all the rhetoric of the IRGC being "tough negotiators", the truth is they really aren't. They are just complete nihilists who are completely indifferent to their people, and just refuse to negotiate at all.

I didn't call you MAGA; I just said your reasons for supporting the war are retaaded. When the official US intelligence reports state that Iran poses no threat and some dude inhaling Krispy Kremes from his couch says he knows better than a special forces dude with 11 combat tours in the Middle East and is the head of counterterrorism, I'm going to LOL at you.

I'm not angry, and I'm certainly not confused. You sound confused since you haven't realized that the majority of MAGA now supports new wars and high gas and grocery prices.

They are willing to negotiate on their uranium because that's not hugely important to them but no reason to negotiate on some of their other positions since you know... They've won.

Iran’s strategy doeant involve threatening the mainland US so of course they aren’t a threat to the mainland US. This really isn’t the mic drop point you think it is. Iran’s entire strategy revolves around asymmetric warfare and attrition while buying time until they have nuclear capabilities. At which point they won’t have to threaten the continental US to make us bend to their will.
You’re misrepresenting someone’s words by trying to assert that Iran poses no threat and no self respecting member of the security community would ever say that.
There’s no reason I need to waste my time responding to your posts so it really doesn't serve any purpose to lie and misrepresent information.
If you want to have an actual intelligent discussion that’s cool but bandying around Reddit talking points is not worth anyone’s time.
And on a scale of trying to invade Greenland, having ICE shooting citizens in the streets and abolishing abortion, bombing Iran is relatively palatable to me. I’m sorry if you’re suffering from increased gas prices but Trump was never going to bring economic prosperity with him. That’s why voted for Harris you goof.

LandOLakes is the Grandmaster of Misrepresentation.
When he and I have our coffee date, I'll ask him about why he does that all the time.
Why are you so fixated on lunch dates with ppl who can’t stand you?
Seems weird

Who is "they" in your perception? Of the ~90 million people living in Iran, what % of them do you suppose are feeling like they've won?
