omg so sore from the weekend
am heading to Vegas tomorrow so did a combined back & push session this morning. I might try to get out for a walk/quick row this pm. I'll be training in Vegas albeit it'll be in the 'just ticking over' theme rather than doing anything too hard. Staying at Horseshoe, which I haven't done before so am not quite sure what I'll find there/at the Paris in terms of gyms

I trained 5 times during my 9 day Vegas stay. Really just ticking over. I also averaged almost 20k steps per day & I'm the lone person who doesn't eat much in Vegas so I actually lost 1.5kg in Vegas. I had some long mtt days where I'd have something light for breakfast and then top up on protein bars or yoghurt from Walgreens & get to the end of the day without ever eating a proper meal.
Back for 4 days now & have trained each bodypart once at about 80%. Am moving house on Fri...hopefully for the last time for a while as I've bought something...so will re-commit to gainz next week
my post from Tues has vanished
got some unexceptional workouts in Vegas but didn't break any records. Have been back & went through the motions this week. Back to normal service now

How'd everything go with the move? Has to be a relief to finally get that sorted.
thanks for asking - total relief....3 moves in 16 months as was renting post separation.
Have bought a place now so it's great to be able to put some roots down and not have to worry about another move. I have a ton more painting & some spending to do but it's so much more fun when it's your place

Glad to hear it! It seems like it's been a pretty long and unfortunate journey, but it's impressive how you've worked through it and I'm sure it's gratifying to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Cheers.

thanks mate.
I've adjusted to my new reality pretty well I think. I certainly don't mourn the end of my relationship & I'm 100% happy to not be married to the ex. The $$ adjustment took a while in some regards but I'm also lucky I think that I got through the separation without a protracted legal battle. The $$ is the $$ & it's a cost of the whole process IMO. I'm not some super money focused person & actually not having to pay for the big house & the alcoholic coke addict ex has been OK for cash flow!
the biggest adjustment probably has been to being a full time single parent & handling everything related to the education, health, living arrangements & all the daily contact, advice, supervision & feeding/clothing/housing that teenagers need. That's not typical for most men post divorce - it's clearly the right thing for them & they are the most important thing in my life so there are no complaints at all, but I do occasionally wistfully consider the advantages of the deadbeat dads who see their kids once a week!
also lucky I think to have met a really great woman quite quickly. I think post separation can be quite a lonely place for a lot of men - despite what happened in my marriage & what my wife did, I lost contact with most of the couple friendships I had as generally the women side with the woman & the men are mainly apathetic!
Slept through my alarm so had to rush this morning
