2023-2024-2025-2026 NC/LC THREAD
once more do we meet in this place!
For WSOP, is Bellagio going to temporarily switch back to the prior game structure (20/40/80) or keep the current one (15/30/60)?
I have heard conflicting reports.

Coming to Vegas tomorrow for two weeks lmk if anyone wants to grab dinner and drinks. Pretty excite this will be my first Wsop won't be playing any tourney though just cash.
Bellagio has been getting a regular 80/160 game along with plenty of 30/60.
Arriving 6/21 for a bit. Happy to meet up with whoever, time permitting.
I'm driving down on Sunday, planning on staying through the end of the Main.
This hand has been bothering me, but I don’t want to make a strategy post because I don’t think it warrants it, so instead first post itt in 6 months.
CAZ 30/60 time game. Blinds are 2/3 structure. Small blind is a great longtime player who has a ton of history with me and I assume sees me as a solid big winner as well but I only play 2-4 times a month while he plays full time, so who knows. He has all actions preflop (except maybe call/reraise) open folding, call/call, call/fold, and raise. Is not known to miss value bets either.
Folds to small blind, he calls and I hesitate and check 96o.
Flop is AQ6 and he checks I bet and he calls.
Turn is J and check check
River is Q and he checks and I bet…
Side note if someone at the table is reading this, my memory is bad and it may have came Q first then J but I don’t think so.
Spoiler
He raises, I am confused and give him a look and feel owned either way and figure the better owning is not getting randomly bluffed when he knows I am super light and call.
He has AA and has now given himself the widest possible range in all future blind vs blind confrontations.
Seems ambitious to try to get called by K hi here. As played, I'd just check back the river.
I don't see anything about villain having FPS. Closest thing we have (until you get to the spoiler results, which we don't know at the time we play the hand) is that he has an open limping range in the SB. I don't think it's fair to extrapolate much from that to post-flop play.
I also generally assume that a villain who has an open-limping range in the SB is not putting hands like 22-55 into that range because those types of hands play so much better with initiative. So, I think it is hard for us to be targeting worse pairs with a river bet. We're really counting on getting called by K hi and basically nothing else. And even if we know villain is capable of calling with K hi here, I'm not sure betting is good.
I wouldn't bet the river either, it just seemed like you didn't know he had a pair.
Villain had the effective nuts on every street and never bet until the check-raise on the river. That's just silly.
Not that it matters because it is a fun hand, but if he doesn't call with K high there he is burning money against me bvb.

I would limp w AA at head up sometime. When pop assume certain range for you it become very +ev. But anyway bet flop and kb turn and bet riv line is so under bluff by regs that people just overfold correctly. I think in limp the riv cr is never a bluff.
For those that still playing lhe and think the future is bleak I would seriously recommend switching to plo. Finally cold turkey quit lhe 7 months ago after +20 years of playing it. Plo structure are a lot easily to learn and remember. Game is actually very similar and competition a lot easier in 2025.

Also if you can survive lhe tilt wise then plo feel really relaxing even when you lose +200 bb pot in all in or run 30 bb under ev. At least w plo you know if you are running bad etc with lhe is always the feeling of unknown and helplessness.
6 max plo only this is betrivers fyi so only 4 states in US atm. Rakeback +70% so it quite nice.
So, now that the WSOP schedule is out, who is planning to be out there in June for the LHE donkaments?
I already made my reservations. I'll be in town from June 6th-11th. Will play the 1500 LHE and may play the 1500 HORSE
I'm planning on being out there for at least some of the mixed-game donkaments.
how the state of games in Vegas? thinking of making a weekend trip.
Not sure of game state as I am heading up on Sat staying until Thur, but there are usually 2-3 of 20/40 and 40/80 and one of 80/160 most evenings.
I am sure this weekend and next week will be busiest LHE week in Vegas as it coincides with the only 3 LHE events in town.
Regular big bet poster said in another thread that PLO cash games and lists seem down compared to last year. Fwiw.
Not sure that the LHE games in Vegas are better from a softness perspective during the series - seems that folks willing to travel to play the limit tournaments are net-net going to be better than average. But it's certainly fun to watch all the local Vegas misregs get tilted by the significantly more aggressive play.
Cool thanks for the infor guys
