[CoinPoker] - Official - Bringing the Game Back to Players
Hello Everyone,
This is the Official Thread of CoinPoker (previous thread)
Hello, and good morning. I am messaging through email with your support and security team regarding an issue that has flagged my account, temporarily locked it, and denied a withdrawal of 4,000 dollars.
Back on May 4th I created an account with the username βPocketCsβ This was a screen name that I was not happy with, so I figured it was not a big deal to make another account. I immediately created another account βResti2shunβ the same day.
I have not played a single hand or entered a single tournament on the βPocketCsβ account. I havenβt even made a deposit. In addition, I havenβt taken advantage of any promotions or deposit bonuses on either account.
There is no foul play involved here and it was a very honest mistake that conflicts with you guys security and terms of service. I am sorry I was not more careful of this rule and created this security flag. Upon review, you should be able to see that this was just a mistake and there has been no foul play, multi accounting, or cheating involved.
Please help me in unlocking my account so I can play and access my funds, as this is a lot of money for me. Anything to expedite this process I can help with immediately. Thank you.
Another case of "I did nothing wrong, I just created a 2nd account, it was an honest mistake"
How do you not realize you just cannot make another account?
And how much do you dislike your chosen nickname that you "immediately" made a 2nd :p
Im glad a site is battling hard versus these multi-accounters. You break the rules you have to deal with the consequences.
one things for certain. coin is very good at detecting multi accounting. Seems like every week theres someone on here complaining about getting caught multi accounting.
My date selector doesn't work correctly.
I can only download one date, every time I try to set a start and end-date which are different, it defaults back to a single date. I'm wondering if I have an issue, or do others have the same problem?
The devs replied that this was possibly due to selecting more than a 90 day date range, the maximum allowed, and yes the UI then automatically switches back to a single date.
They say they will now increase the maximum allowed duration to 180 days, and try to fix that issue. Thanks

Replied to you on X yes, you'll need to explain it to over email and if no foul play took place after their investigation they might close one account and transfer the funds to the other. It'll depend on their findings.

Unfortunately it's not because of this, I've tried to set the range to just a few days, or a week, and it's same problem.
I usually try to play 1 hour sessions, 4 tables.
I find that a lot of the time it will be 15 minutes into the session and I am still trying to find 4th seat.
The tables open spectacularly slow. My computer is admittedly old , but all other sites suffer no such affliction.
I was cursing out loud today trying to find a seat, the client shouldnβt tilt you, the game is tough enough.
If for no other reason , fixing it will make you money.
Getting a seat at the table should be the easiest thing to do on a poker site.
And I will say please.
So, please.
Wait, you arent getting seats because tables open slow? That makes no sense because they should then open slow for others too and you can also still start tables...
Or is it that there isnt enough traffic on your stakes and waiting lists are moving slow ?
Sharing the CoinRewards email that went out to players, introducing Bankroll Boosts, a rewards mechanism designed to support players through downswings or negative variance, at stakes from $0.50/$1 and above.
Boosts come in the form of missions, MTT tickets, and other rewards that you can use to turn things around.
The overall CoinRewards weekly amount of $1.5 million stays the same, but part of the infused Splash pots are now allocated to Bankroll Boosts.

Thanks I've passed this on. Also if you get time, email in with that feedback and attach the app logs (click the version button bottom left of the client to download your logs). They might be able to diagnose if it's something to do with your device. Lag was a common feedback point before but seems to have improved a lot recently.

Thanks I've told them that now. They requested if you could make a quick screen recording of this happening and DM it to me, if you have time.

Moving towards GGpoker model quicker than expected it seems.
Yesterday, a breakeven player was paying their fair share into splash pots and getting roughly their fair share back. Today, that same breakeven player is still paying their fair share into splash pots, but now receives a smaller share back? Am I missing anything?
Yup just got the email about HUDs and trackers being completely banned now. Coin will be indistinguishable from GG soon except without all the recreationals.
Definitely possible. I have had it before where i 4bet, and then called a jam when i definitely just clicked fold to the 4bet. The software sort of stuttered just as i clicked fold. It was a few weeks ago so dont know if they had patched whatever caused it.
This happened to me today as well - a couple times during the session the software decided to min3bet preflop by itself, and then one time it snap-called river check-shove, I didn't even understand what happened at first.
It feels like the "mouse click" command gets kinda stuck/delayed sometimes, it could be that if you click outside the table and then quickly move your cursor to the action button, that button gets pressed. Could also have something to do with the stuck alt/ctrl keys (known issue with the software). Could be some other reason, I really am not sure, and I'd guess it's not that easy to reproduce.
@Coin_poker Please flag this behavior to the software team so they are at least aware of the issue.
If a player is playing below 100nl, and they experience negative variance, oh well, but if youβre playing 100 or above , hereβs some relief.
Stick it to the little guys as usual.
So if I am grinding nl50 , is my pot being raked and the rewards are passed UP to higher stakes to provide variance relief ?
This is boneheaded and sure to inspire negative feelings, such as the ones I am having now.
If your not taking my rake at nl50 and passing it up, why donβt NL 50 and below deserve the same relief?
Enough with the β weβre adding β bullshit, all the rewards, bonuses are being paid out of money that the site raked out of a pot somewhere.
No one is taking their personal money and adding to the rewards, it ALL comes from raked pots , not Good Samaritans.

I think splash pots are still about zero-sum, only the "infused" part, which is an extra cash pool that isn't comprised of players' splash fees, gets shrunk in favor of other rakeback mechanics. But the overall rakeback % still gets a bit skewed towards lower-winrate players with this update.
I am not thrilled with the HUD change. The stats on the in game HUD are not reliable; it does not indicate sample size nor does it sort by game type (I played a lot of bomb pot tables with no ante during the no rake period, then I switch to ante tables and the stats carry over. Same thing if I play heads up or short handed). Tracking wins and losses is going to be a pain now, and studying off table also got harder. What does this actually accomplish?
Mite be over soon.
This hud change slightly lower winrates for regs.
When they change the rakeback system which everyone is anticipating then its gg imo. Just ggpoker 2.0.
Was a fun 3 or 4 months w.e it was
@coinpoker rep, can you give some detail about how this bankroll boost during downswing thing actually works?
They must think that the absence of HUD will bring extra fish to the site. Yes, it might, but with this commission, some regular players will leave, especially since the reward system has also changed. Also, the fact that HUD usage is seen as a godsend in the poker industry makes me laugh π Most regular players don't even know how to connect one statistic to another.

Hi
Are there any changes regarding non-statistical third-party tools, like CoinCaption or Jurojin?
The new policies state that Table Management Tools and Hotkey Tools are allowed, but say nothing about their other functions (non-statistical HUDs with pot odds and other game state info like this, for example)
I sent an email to support the day before yesterday, but I haven't received a response yet

Not a big fan of no HUD tbh, its starting to look a lot like GG except they attract way more recreationals
About the HUD ban, when multitabling with other sites that do allow HUD like iPoker, is it OK to have holdem manager / hand2note / poker tracker open while playing CoinPoker to have a HUD on those skins ?
if not, im afraid thats goodbye CoinPoker for me :(

yes same question for me
can we get a confirmation that having a program like Drivehud open while playing on Coin is acceptable if we have it disabled for CoinPoker (Drivehud has this functionality). This would allow me to still track and use a hud for other sites i may be playing on at the same time.
Pretty drastic change and you still can't add a simple sit out next bb, completely deliberate at this point.
No HUD in itself isn't a big problem for me, but it looks like they are saying you can't have tracking software open as the same time as the Coinpoker client. As I am play on multiple sites, I'm not going to go without a HUD on sites that allow them, just so I can play on Coin at the same time, so I guess it's gg Coinpoker. Speaking of GG, you are mimicking them in every other way, why not have the same hud policy, no huds allowed but fine to have them open at the same time as the client.
