Yeah the amount of physicality allowed on both ends for the last two weeks. And these ***** are up in arms wanting a flag for a push

How would this even be a rumor? It is either true or it isn't. What am I missing?

It was a sarcastic post. Wemby is getting away with murder because the league doesn't want him suspended during the finals. Which I guess we can all assume is true but no one from the league would flat out verify that as truth.

That was also when I thought Wemby had 3 flagrant points and not 2, which could obviously be verified as true or not.

plus kat is literally bear-hugging him on every possession. wompy 20-feet from the hoop doing nothing and kat has him wrapped up with both hands, has to shake him off first before he can do anything, must be ****ing exhausting (which is obv the point, if the refs are gonna allow that). it's actually insane they've let it get to this point with so much off-ball garbage

So then call common fouls on KAT. Call common fouls on Wemby. Call flagrants where it's warranted. Don't call a common foul and then a reviewed F1 on Brunson and then not even call a common foul on Wemby committing the same exact offense.

There's obviously a line of not wanting to disqualify guys from the game, but consistency should be expected, especially at this stage. You change the way the game is being called and guys will adjust.

I have no dog in this fight. I'm rooting for the Knicks, just because it's been so long for them. But I wouldn't be upset to see the Spurs and Wemby win. Either story is great. I just want to see quality and fair ball.

Yes, the NBA is officially reviewing the play.
Heavy Sports

On Tuesday, NBA Head of Officiating Monty McCutchen openly admitted on ESPN's NBA Today that the referees missed a clear foul call during the first quarter of Game 3 when Victor Wembanyama aggressively shoved Jalen Brunson to the floor by the upper back and neck area.
Sports Illustrated

McCutchen confirmed that the league's review of the incident is ongoing to determine whether the play warrants a retroactive upgrade to a Flagrant 1 foul.
Sports Illustrated

The situation carries massive implications for the rest of this Finals series due to the NBA’s postseason accumulation rules:

  • The Math: A retroactive Flagrant 1 would hand Wembanyama 1 additional flagrant point.
    Heavy Sports

  • The Danger Zone: Because he was already hit with a Flagrant 2 earlier in the playoffs (for the elbow on Naz Reid in the Timberwolves series), Wembanyama currently has 2 flagrant points.
    San Antonio Express-News

  • If upgraded, he will sit at 3 flagrant points. Crossing that threshold to 4 points triggers an automatic one-game suspension, meaning any subsequent flagrant foul for the rest of the Finals would force him to miss a game.

A final decision on the upgrade is expected before Game 4 at Madison Square Garden.

I don't care how much physicality they allow as long as it is even. I don't think the level of physicality that the officials allow intrinsically favors either team. And I'm not really a Knicks fan in any event.

If he already had 3 points, 0% they’d upgrade. With him at 2 points, maybe they upgrade to keep him honest. I still think it’s very unlikely.

that wasn't a flagrant, brunson is just a flopping ass bitch is all

I know there’s a massive height discrepancy, but you can’t shove guys in the neck/head area. That’s not a basketball play. Especially when the ball wasn’t even in the area.

I 100% disagree. If Brunson had started rolling around on the ground holding his head or whatever, he would have gotten the call. He didn't get the call precisely because he jumped right back up.

Funny how we’ve gone from flopping SGA to this.

Shaq supports Wemby shoving Jalen Brunson: "Get your little ass off me. Keep doing it Wemby. Tell Brunson get your little ass out the way. That ain't no dirty play."

👍 👍

Funny how we’ve gone from flopping SGA to this.

Funny how we've gone from Wemby talking about how he and his team play "ethical basketball" to playing downright dirty.

I just think this is the way it is now with social media, endless replays, freeze frames, viral videos

we'll never have another universally liked nba superstar again, the makeup eventually comes off all of em

i don't think it's bold so much as nothing can stand up to this level of bad-faith, zero-context, obsessed-stan scrutiny. people are so ****ing weird about this **** for some reason

every team but mine are dirty evil flopping cheating bastards who do gay stuff with the refs and should literally be in prison

Obviously. I thought that’s how this worked as a fan.

thought that was more of an nfl thing

lol. I’ve never really had to worry about the refs for the Hornets.

FWIW I just talked to Thurl Bailey and he said the Jazz should definitely take Peterson.

I just talked to Thurl Ravenscoft and he said the kid’s not just good, he’s great

I talked to a random gimmick account and he said the Jazz are trading up for Dybantsa.

*grrrrrrreat

The NBA officially decided not to upgrade Victor Wembanyama’s uncalled shove on Jalen Brunson from Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals to a flagrant foul. While the league admitted a foul was missed, Wembanyama avoids further disciplinary action.

So ****ing bogus.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone (Jose Alvarado maybe) literally throws down with that dirty punk Wemby.

cry more

All this Knicks fans footage indicates they are pure trash and I hope the Spurs win in 6.

Id ****ing stab them if they tried to light my hair on fire.
