** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
stop the count
Game on
LOL wtf
Kick Germany out of UEFA too.
Looooooooooool.
RIP
Was fun for about 15 minutes.
hydration break ruined the game, curacao was 100% running away with that
starting to think that blue man group wont take this one
would have been a fun 5 minutes if they scored first
Are we ironically supporting confederations again? Enjoy your lolcacaf while it lasts, I've not seen the hosts score even one goal that holds up
ro16 will be merciless
Nah, it's just wild to see it. Agreed that RO16 will be what it will - it always is outside of some lolreffing - but this is fun to watch now. CONCACAF isn't that much stronger, Canada and Panama have (and to a lesser extent Haiti, Jamaica, and Curacao) are just up while other teams like Costa Rica and Honduras are down. It's cyclical over here, though I think every team in the World Cup except Mexico is pretty strong compared to their equilibrium right now.
48-teams World Cup is great, you can win your opening game against an island of 150k inhabitants and have a >99% chance to advance the group stage as per the market
I am from the Netherlands and have them in the sweepstakes so letsgooo
Looking forward to this one. Japan is good.
Beautiful equalizing header by Qatar somehow now officially counted as an own goal
Oranje still p mediocre
